“My hearing was damaged in my 30's by too many race cars in my life. Until my mid to late 60's I got by, but at that time it was getting harder and harder to hear high pitched voices. Not knowing much about hearing aids I went to one of the "big box stores" where I was tested and fit with over the ear aids that I could reach up, push a button and make some minor adjustments. After about five years I was very disappointed with the aids and the lack of what I felt was an educated technician who could help me be comfortable. So I started my own research about hearing aids and was overwhelmed by so many options, companies and features. Coincidentally Ultimate Hearing had an office in my area and sent out a flyer that caught my attention. I made an appointment, met Jeff, was tested and the best part: he explained about all the different aids his company could provide. I selected a brand that had high ratings, but for me the best part was that I could adjust them using my smartphone. I have had them about 18 months. In that time there were a couple of issues that weren't a fault of the aids, but the way my body reacts. Visiting Jeff and discussing it with him let him understand my situation, he upgraded software and sent me home with some different shaped ear pieces that are GREAT. After my last visit I have been able to lower the volume settings and still hear higher range sounds that I had been missing.”
