“We were pleasantly surprised by this little out-of-the-way place. There was a large parking lot with ample handicap spots available. The lobby was spacious, plenty of room if there would be a wait. We were there around 1 pm with a large party of 20 adults, always a challenge when eating out together, and seated almost immediately. The service was simply excellent and the staff was so friendly and accommodating. Everyone was very pleased with their meal. They offer a full-size menu, (I mean HUGE!) something that most restaurants eliminated during Covid and didn't bring back. (If you say the menu is "typical," then you're just plain impossible to please and nothing ever makes you happy.) With that, there are lunch options until 3 p.m., and plenty of affordable menu options in addition to more complex dishes. The salsa runs on the hotter side which we absolutely loved. I ordered Pollo San Juan and it was, hands down, the BEST Mexican meal I've had in ages! It had the best combo of flavors and the cheese sauce was out of this world! Hubby ordered Texas Fajitas and he was equally pleased. If you're looking for some great, authentic Mexican food, this would certainly be worth the drive around Middle Tennessee. This place is over an hour from our home but we WILL be back!”

“When my mother’s dementia necessitated her move from the Chicago area to a memory care facility closer to us here in Memphis, my first thought was how were we ever going to find the right place for Mom if we could not do an in-person visit during this time of Covid? I researched, requested information, and connected with several places that seemed to meet our requirements. I did virtual tours, phone interviews, and asked a lot of questions. They all offered something for Mom, but when it finally came down to making the decision which one would be the best fit for her and where she would be happiest, Sycamore Place stood out from the rest. My first contact with Sycamore Place was with Becky Anderson, Community Resource Director. It was heartening to find that her professionalism and willingness to work with us, was only exceeded by her genuine kindness, caring, and understanding of our situation. We have since discovered that that kindness and caring is also mirrored by the rest of the staff, and very much appreciated not only by our family, but also by my mother. As Mom has told us on numerous occasions, “They are very good to me here and very hard working. Such nice people.” High praise from my 97 year old mom! Sycamore Place has gone out of their way to care for Mom’s needs. They have wonderful facility that feels more like “home,” offering programs seven days a week to engage her mentally, physically, and socially. Most importantly, they truly care about her as a person, even on her most difficult days. Let’s face the facts, there are difficult days…and it’s at those times we especially appreciate the professional care and kindness Mom receives from the Sycamore Place staff. As a family, we not only thankful for how well they take care of Mom, but also how well they communicate with us regarding her care. Even with the challenges of maintaining strict Covid restrictions, Sycamore Place has been a true partner in working with us to make Mom’s transition to their memory care facility as seamless and as painless a process as possible. Though it’s never an easy decision for any family, Sycamore Place was the right one for Mom and for us.”

“This place is awesome! Did a home project of tearing out a concrete patio. Waste management wanted 250 per load and had a bunch of requirements on dropping the load off, this place wanted 20 and you just drive in and unload you truck and they recycle your waste! Can't complain! Would recommend an AWD or 4x4 getting in and out of this place can be a little bumpy and muddy. Other than that, the staff were super nice. O will definitely be recommending them to others.”

“The Mansion Tour was nice. They showed a short 25-minute movie about this place and the people who had lived there. The mansion was air-conditioned, which was good because of the extremely hot summer weather that week. The four tour guides were nice and friendly and they gave our tour a lot of interesting knowledge about Andrew Jackson and his life before and after his presidency. They even politely answered our questions. And we asked them a few. It was my first time visiting here. I bought some nice souvenirs. Those ladies who worked in the gift shop were nice, friendly, and helpful. We got a ride from an older gentleman in a golf cart from the Mansion back to the Museum and gift shop. He told my husband that he could drive for him. I thought he was teasing; but he was serious. My husband talked to him and we thanked him profusely for the ride. We were tired of walking, and it was so hot out that we really appreciated that ride. The other people, like us, were hot and tired, and I'm sure they also appreciated that ride as well. I would take our children and grandchildren back here to learn some of our nation's history.”

“Lived here for a year and can say that this complex was pretty nice considering the following experiences: 1. An upstairs neighbor's apartment caught on fire, and the whole 800 building was destroyed overnight. Rick, Taylor, and the community manager were up getting the Red Cross in to get people some financial help and even got the clubhouse open for food and water. I can say that the staff were dependable and just genuinely good people. 2. As a lot of other reviews mention, my apartment had a mold problem that I put in tickets for. I treated the wall with bleach on some spots, but the vents were a repeat problem that had to be cleaned up by the maintenance team. I just wish the apartment had a more long-lasting solution to the mold. 3. My apartment tended to have brown recluses even after treatments. They were easy to take care of, but I didn't like the jumpscares in the mornings.”

“Yesterday, I met up with a friend to have lunch here. It was nice and clean. It was kind of empty and quiet other than us and a few other diners. Our waitress was kind and kept checking on us. My friend and I enjoyed their chips with salsa and their guacamole mexicano. It was delicious and fresh! We also enjoyed some frozen margaritas that were so delicious too. I had the Frozen Strawberry Margarita. My friend had the Frozen Lime Margarita. We plan to return soon. I hope our next visit is just as pleasant as this one.”
