Love this place. The personnel are amazing. The exhibits are spectacular. They are enhanced by cool technology tools. The gift shop has a wonderful variety. Not to be missed! We must return as we didn't get the chance to see it all.

We walked in at about 1 in the afternoon and were greeted by a helpful volunteer. As soon as you walk in, the floor you are stepping on is actually a map of the area surrounding the historic San Felipe de Austin civilization. The museum is very interactive, with large touchscreens, and even a "dress-up studio" where you can pretend to be an early settler. There is a timeline on the wall, make sure not to miss this, as it gives you a lot of information and has many artifacts that were recovered. Heading outside, you'll see a more detailed map of the city they built. There is also a small forest you can walk through and see some of the markers where there is information about what they found at that specific spot. Don't miss the actual remnants of the civilization that are just across the road; they have some nice photo spots, like in front of the statue. All in all, our experience of this site was amazing; it is truly a hidden gem.

First time to visit. Looks good so far. Uses touch screen methods for anyone to read specific items. Enjoyed seeing what the layout of San Felipe in our early history. There is the potential for further development of future displays. Looking forward to that. Keep it going. You should visit and encourage your children to go and learn an important part of our history.
