“My prayers were answered when I was invited to attend service by a lovely woman I had randomly met one Saturday afternoon. I had been in deep prayer, asking The Lord to direct me to a Bible believing church. I was chatting it up with Teal, and felt the warmth of The Holy Spirit in her, even before she mentioned church. When she invited me to join her at church the following day, I was certain this was a answer to my prayers. My teen daughter and I were warmly greeted by the members of the congregation as well as the Pastor. The people who make up this church are kind and will take the time to get to know you. They are sincere and prayerful. At the beginning of each service, the congregation takes turns sharing their personal praises to The Lord as well as any prayer requests they may have. This is optional, but I would encourage anyone to be blessed by asking this church family for prayers. The Pastor is excellent at teaching Bible scriptures and most importantly, he is accurate and honest. This church is a rare gem, where you can show just up just as you are, and be encouraged by other Bible believing Christians. The youth group is the best! Several of the youth approached my teen and I and introduced themselves, inviting my teen to join them for volleyball later that day. I was impressed by their maturity and wisdom. Clearly, these youth are being led by The Holy Spirit. I have been to 3 services here and am looking forward to many more. Did I mention the sermons? These are not your usual detached speeches. They are inspired, engaging and true Bible studies. I am excited to go back on Sunday!”

“The wait was 9 minutes after our appointment time so it wasn't bad at all. As the doctor was examining my daughter she explained to me that she was the only doctor there. She has not been able to find another doctor because she doesn't trust them. She made clear that she loves what she does and wants to find someone alike. Overall it was a great visit.”

“This was one of the loveliest RV parks we have been to in the 2 years that we have had our small RV. Lots of trees and a beautiful area along a river at the end of the park but very near our space. At the back of our space was a pasture where there were 4 cows grazing with their calves who were cavorting with each other! In the evenings a herd of 10+ deer came down to that same area and entertained us with their antics! Unfortunately the highway that ran in front of the park was busy and somewhat noisy from traffic but this noise decreased greatly before bedtime. At night we were able to open the large back door on the rear of the van and fall to sleep serenaded by the birds. The bath/shower room looked brand new! They were immaculate and rarely used so plenty of hot water for my shower! Even though almost every trailer had a dog(s), there was minimal barking. They must have strict guidelines for the majority of the residents who live there for months at a time since nearly every site was neat as a pin! It may be difficult to get reservations since there were only about 4 empty RV Sites when we pulled in! Lovely pool and pool house with billiards table. So thrilled they gave us a site with a full view of the deer in the pasture!”

“We were traveling from Houston to Austin, and our car just had a loud noise very suddenly on half way. We parked at Buckee’s and found there was a metal board on the bottom fell off and was scratching the road. My 18 months daughter was with us and we just wanted to have the car fixed asap, so we won’t miss baby’s lunch and nap time (so that she won’t be too fussy). My husband googled this repair shop, and we totally have no idea how long they will take to fix the car and how much they gonna charge us. In fact, they only took about 20 min to give diagnosis and even found another tire problem. They suggested us to have it repair when we arrived our destination, and all these services were FREE! I really appreciated their professional services and their kindness. God bless them!”

“We came here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. It is casual, you seat yourself and a server will bring you menus. We received great service and our server was very friendly. Two people in our party ordered a chicken dinner that also comes with a salad (not pictured) they both loved their meals and said the chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. They said the potatoes reminded them of their grandmas cooking. Someone else ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich and they said the flavor was good but they didn’t finish the meal because they said it was too bready. I got their mushroom Swiss burger because this is a burger joint and I wanted to try what they are known for. The burgers are huge. It tasted like a burger I could make at home but it was still delicious and pretty fairly priced. Overall, we had a positive experience.”

“This DPS location is fantastic! It was the nearest road testing location for my driver license. I made an online appointment and waited patiently for my appointment date, 8/30/22. I arrived a few minutes early and was guided to the check-in kiosk. Filled out my application and waited only a few minutes until my number was called. All of the staff that processed my road test application were extremely friendly and answered all of my questions. My road tester was kind, professional and made my road test experience relatively stress-free. After I had passed my road test I drove away with a very positive overall experience. My sincere thanks to all of the DPS staff that made my morning road test a wonderful experience! My brother also had a fantastic experience several years ago when he first moved to Bastrop county.”

“Easily the best petco in the Austin area. Just past the airport in Bastrop. The employees are very knowledgeable and approachable, ready to give good advice and tips on what pet is right for your new best friend. Austyn was the fish guru salt water tanks are not that scary anymore and he offered his advice in a clear easy way to understand, told me the average cost and showed me a picture of his huge salt water tank 600 gallons!!! The manager Kat was trying to close the store but never made us feel rushed. I have a ferret from them and he’s my best buddy Yoshi. I would recommend taking the drive to Bastrop to get the best service and advice around. I love this place!!!”
