“Brisket was on-point and the spicy jalapeno sausage was especially good. Being able to substitute chili for the two sides was a nice option. Very affordable for the two meat plate and serving size was appropriate. Gentleman that took our order had an amazing personality. Was very friendly. All around great experience!”

“Such a cute spot for good food, good service, live music, outdoor and indoor ambient seating and atmosphere. The staff were so hospitable. If you are a pizza lover, this is your spot. The must-try dessert is the ice cream brownie. Their wings are not too tender, a bit difficult to chew and extract flavor, but I can't wait to try their other menu items when I return. Shout out to Blake for taking care of us!”

“We had a wonderful experience for my son's 6th birthday! The event and marketing manager Regina was quick to answer questions and respond to emails and phone calls. We booked the red carpet package and had a hostess with us the entire time. Elizabeth took great care of everyone from the minute we got there. From getting bowling shoes, bowling balls, drink pitchers, entering names into the system for the bowling game. She even offered candles and a lighter for the cake! It is the little things that go a long way. This is one of the most relaxing birthday parties we have had and was stress free! Thanks to a great team and effort made by them. Can't wait to book another party in the future! Chelsea Baca”

“we stopped here after a camping trip on the river, we were a big group and they accommodated us so quickly! the food was amazing, I got the chopped brisket baked potato & a peach cobbler with butter pecan ice cream! Lindsay at the counter was super sweet & we even had someone (I think it was the grill master?) come check up on us and joked around with us! seriously the best experience ever. i don't go to Bastrop often but now this might just be my new fave BBQ spot ✨️🫶🏼”

“If you like carne asada / bistec steak tacos this is your spot! Tacos are decent in size, seasoned well topped with onions and cilantro. Add a squirt of lime and green hot sauce and your taste buds will be swirling with authentic Mexican flavors. After a half dozen visits this taco spot earns a great review for being so consistent! The atmosphere is nice especially for an outdoorish taco stand. Parking lot needs work but they do a great job with decor and great pictures of their menu items. Looks great! The ladies at the ordering booth can be a bit to the point so be sure to know what you want before ordering at the window. Otherwise they’re generally fairly friendly overall! Did I mention the horchata!? Perfect! Full of flavor and very refreshing! It’s not at all watery like you often find at other places. Probably the best horchata I’ve found around town! 3 steak tacos and a large horchata under $20 ain’t to bad these days! (Some other review mentioned it was expensive, hate to break it to ya man but steak and everything theses days is expensive! That’s what happens when money is printed from thin air, inflation!) There’s plenty of more good to be said here but overall this place has been very good! I look forward to eating many more tacos 🌮 here! Thanks again!”

“Came here with my Abuela to grab a bite to eat. She was in the mood for hamburgers and I just saw this place coming down the road, so I looked it up. I'm glad we stopped here, because the food was great. It was fresh and came very quickly, and for the price, it's very filling. Not to mention the very nice and attentive waiter. She was working the bar most of the time, but she still made sure to check in on my grandma and I. Overall, this place was really inviting and very nicely decorated. I'd gladly come to visit again whenever I'm in the area. Oh, along with the music. It was very nicely chosen. Definitely stop by if you see this place.”

“Another happy customer here! Brought the family, celebrating my son's recent 8th birthday and the full swing of the season. The apple cannons are completely worth the additional expense, the corn maze was just as we were hoping, and all other included activities were diverting for a wide range of ages. Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity this visit to indulge in the biergarten, so I suppose I'll have to return. Gladly :)”

“I played here 20+ years ago…in its “glory days”and today, I played it again with my oldest. Was it “resort style” perfect conditions, no…but…the fairways had plenty of GOOD grass in them and the greens were REALLY nice. The course was just as fun and the views just as beautiful. I highly recommend anyone wanting something different to try out ColoVista. It’s well worth the the time and will remind you that golf can be enjoyed in lots of different conditions…and they are not always Tour Perfect.”

“This place is legit. Authentic Mexican food in a small family run restaurant with an extensive menu. I was greeted as soon as I stepped through the door. Not only is the food satisfying, but the service is some of the most friendly and attentive service I’ve come across in a long time. It’s truly that local vibe we all want. The waitress was quick to take my order, friendly, and checked on me just enough, and at the perfect times. This place, their food, and their staff, is special. I will definitely be back!”

“Absolutely the best breakfast omelet I've ever eaten. Veggie omelet with added ham I forced myself to eat every delicious bite. So much food. The next visit, I ordered the veggies omelet and added ham and bacon!! I had to tip the cook also. Great service, great chips and friendly locals & staff.”

“Best gluten free pizza in Texas! I mean that. It is so difficult to find a good gluten free pizza and this place has it down pat. I don't mind watching the children play because it is all part of our small town atmosphere. The service is courteous and fast. What makes this place spectacular is the food. You will not be disappointed.”

“The store was really busy when I visited, but the staff was very courteous and I was greeted within seconds. They calmly explained there was a small delay while fresh chicken was bring made. My order was to-go and I found it to be packaged perfectly with the hots separated from the cold, and was packaged securely. The staff was all running full speed, efficiently knocking out customer orders. As always the food was hot and delicious. Great job!”

“The best Mexican food east of Austin. I’ve come here roughly 30 times since moving to Bastrop, and it crushes Jalisco’s, although similar food options. It’s like what Jalisco’s food should look and taste like. Migas tacos, bomb. Chorizo egg and cheese, bomb. Support local, support small. This is Bastrop’s best kept secret. See you next time!”

“Went out of my comfort zone (I'm a quesidilla girl) and ordered the Summer Plate!! Ooh.Amm.Gee....AMAZING!!! I can't wait to come back and order it again!! Also, the service is worth mentioning, super attentive and fast with drinks and entrees!!”

“Very nice meal! Pricey, but we will definitely eat here again for special occasions. We had Sunday brunch. Ordered tomato eggs Benedict & the crab cake eggs Benedict. They were great! Had mimosas, hibiscus tea and wished we had tried the drink special; it looked amazing. The blueberry pie was gone by the time we finished, but the creme brulee was so good. Nice servers too.”

“The all-you-can-eat fried catfish did NOT disappoint. The other thing you need to know is that this place has great chips and salsa. Like 10/10 amazing. Will definitely come here in the future. As a side note, parking is limited, but you can also park near Twin Liquors.”

“When traveling the roads of Texas some of the coolest places are the small towns in between the cities. This little spot in Bastrop was a great discovery. Serious about their desserts and coffee. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I’d imagine this place packed in summer season. Worth a stop for rest and recharge of coffee and sweets.”

“I LOVE Longhorn Barbecue! Amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly staff... what more could you ask for? I got the chopped beef sandwich and mac and cheese, which were delicious! The brisket was great too, you really can't go wrong with this menu.”

“Overall I really enjoyed this restaurant. Their staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They have a very large menu, which, to be honest, was a little overwhelming at first. After trying different dishes I realized that you can't go wrong with any of it. Everything was tasty. I was a little surprised that the burrito was served with French fries, but hey, to each Their own. Definitely have to give this place a try.”

“The worst thing about the place was the elote. The place was clean and the ladies were nice - they let us try samples of the ice cream and told us they make it in house! We got the copa de fruta, mangonada, chicharrón, elote cup, and strawberry and blue coconut raspa. The fruit cup and lime ice cream were my favorite!”

“Overall the food and service was wonderful! I don't like eating buffet due to all these viruses. I wish they would enforce the use of gloves while handling the utensils by customers. There was a lady sitting right behind us just coughing her head off and not covering her mouth. That right there ruined my appetite. Entitled folks are just 🤢 nasty!”

“Delicious tacos! Authentic slow cooked meats with cilantro, onions, and all the fixings. The al pastor and carnitas are some of the best we’ve had. We also had barbacoa and cabeza. Thoroughly impressed. We’ll be back for sure. Folks working there are super nice as well!”

“We came here on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. It is casual, you seat yourself and a server will bring you menus. We received great service and our server was very friendly. Two people in our party ordered a chicken dinner that also comes with a salad (not pictured) they both loved their meals and said the chicken was delicious and cooked perfectly. They said the potatoes reminded them of their grandmas cooking. Someone else ordered a Buffalo chicken sandwich and they said the flavor was good but they didn’t finish the meal because they said it was too bready. I got their mushroom Swiss burger because this is a burger joint and I wanted to try what they are known for. The burgers are huge. It tasted like a burger I could make at home but it was still delicious and pretty fairly priced. Overall, we had a positive experience.”
