My late teenage and young adult life was not exactly saturated with successful life decisions. At the dawn of my 20s after leaving a treatment center 2 days into my intake and choosing to be homeless, I got a call from a representative of Makana Path by the name of Mandy who talked me into going to Makana Path for the purpose of having a warm bed and 3 meals a day. After spending 54 days at Makana Path, the staff and program there connected dots in my life that no previous treatment center or therapist had ever been able to connect. Makana Path gave a seemingly helpless young man a level of hope and drive which had been missing my entire live. If you have a loved one or know of someone who needs the life of recovery. There is no better place to send them.
My son was a patient at Makana Path and I am eternally grateful for this program that offers holistic healing, treating the mind body and spirit. The staff made weekly calls providing updates with where my son was in regards to his recovery and his willingness. My son is walking a path today that I don't think he ever thought was possible. Makana Path treats not just the symptom (substance) but the cause (trauma and emotional pain).
Treatment at Makana was one of the best experiences of my life.
The staff actually CARES. 🤩 My therapist Rhea was absolutely incredible; she really helped me see & work through the things that had been driving me that I didn’t even realize.
The program here is structured beautifully! There’s no aimless group therapy here! To me, this program felt like a combination of 1 on 1 & intimate therapy/clinical work, proven 12 Step work, and an interactive education series of modules.
I couldn’t be more grateful for my time here and the foundation that has been laid for my ongoing recovery! 🙏🏼
Makana saved my life. This facility felt like a home and, not a prison. Joe Sheridan was a great teacher. Katy, Lia, and Dakota were very welcoming. When I was homesick my first weekend in treatment Tracy convinced me to stay. I am so grateful she did. It’s hard to be in treatment away from my family however, Scott made my days a little brighter by his sick dance moves and heart to heart conversations. Joe Roller was a phenomenal counselor. The staff is what really makes this facility great. I trusted them with my life and am so grateful I did.
