(May 1, 2023, 2:07 pm)Great BBQ and service. We ordered ahead to pick-up and take with us to Dinosaur Valley State Park. The brisket was very moist with a great bark. The ribs were easy to eat and had a dry rub that I prefer (as opposed to the messy honey/bbq sauced up ribs) ... no need for sauce, the meat has a great smoky taste. The jalepeno sausage was a favorite as well. The coleslaw was the vinegar kind vs. the creamy ... again, just the way I like it ... should have ordered more! We finished the meal with some awesome banana pudding. What a great little BBQ joint tucked away in Walnut Springs. If we lived closer we'd be regulars!
(April 13, 2023, 1:45 pm)Out looking for a good tasty, juicy batch of ribs and a tender sliced beef sandwich which had a bun that didnt disintegrate under the sauce. This place is worth the extra drive. We've tried others in Granbury and Glenrose and so far this takes the prize. Owners were fast courteous and nice people. We sat outside on the handy little bar and enjoyed the sunshine and birds. Will be back.

(March 12, 2023, 7:53 pm)Was visiting for a festival and found this gem by following the smell. Great bbq spot. Really enjoyed the German slaw made in-house. No inside seating, only outside, so be prepared. The portion size was larger than expected. Will stop whenever passing through.
Edit, I was incorrect in assuming there was no indoor seating. But I will be brutally honest. If I had to stand leaned against a hot telephone pole to eat, it would be worth it. I still plan on stopping anytime I'm passing through on a Saturday.
(February 25, 2022, 6:59 pm)Great smoked meat! I love finding these little out of the way places! Turkey has great smoked flavor. I often encounter this meat too dry with only a hint of smoked flavor, but this is juicy and full of flavor! Sausage is delicious, and the brisket is wonderful without being too fatty. Normally I don’t like the sauce too sweet, but despite being on the sweeter side, it has a nice light tang with a little bite to even out the sweetness. Pinto beans were good, but could have used a hint of salt to taste. Toast could have used a touch of warm butter when served, but I also arrived at the end of the day. Service was polite and prompt. Overall excellent bbq. My biggest problem is fighting off a food coma getting back on the road.
