Intermedics Pacemakers Inc. was by far the best company I worked for in my 35 years in cardiac pacing. Since Albert Boitel had been a salesman himself at medtronic he knew how to hire good people then leave them alone to do what they are best at. In those days sales reps. did not have answer to managers and be burdened with corporate bureaucrats. I retired with a six figure income and I have never had any complaints in working for this company. The only sad day was the day Albert was killed in the helicopter crash.
