“We were heading to drop off our 2 boys back to college after winter break and right before arriving to Falfurias checkpoint we had a pretty bad blowout. Now border patrol had made sure we were safe when this happened, but in my surprise when a female DPS officer came after an hour to see if we needed some help and she even asked if needed some water. My mind set has changed forever of DPS officers. They are there to help the community and keep us safe. *** Lol! not just to give us tickets.”

“Excellent food! Very clean restaurant with a cute maritime vibe. I wish they had some music playing but otherwise great booth and table space. They offer everything from seafood to fried chicken and hamburgers. They also have a wide variety of sides and appetizers. When we went they only had canned sodas not fountain but that wasn’t a big deal. They offer fresh baked cake by the slice and the cooks had hair nets, caps and aprons on. Very hot and freshly made food.”

“I love this place. It’s the perfect spot for traveling supplies and gas while on the road. There is another gas station down the street that’s 10 times as busy. This one has less customers and offers just as much. You can get in and out of here quicker. The coffee taste better here too. The staff is very friendly. It has diesel for 18 wheelers and showers for truckers.”

“1st time here. I was craving a massive loaded burrito with beef and topped with cheese/ gravy sauce. Nice part is they have a drive thru. I also ordered parrillada for 2, which was beef fajita, sausage, grilled onions and peppers topped with cheese, to take home since I was just passing by and had 1 hour more drive to get home. Food was still hot by the time I got home. The wife and kids liked. I'd definitely dine in next time I'm on area.”
