Allen Veterinary Hospital

My husband's family had a dog when he was growing up and only took the dog here. They always received the best care!! Fast forward to now we are married with 3 kids and over the summer we adopted our first family pet, Pebbles the rabbit! I knew we needed a vet and my husband told me about Allen Veterinary Hospital. Passing by today, we stopped to ask if they care for rabbits. Not only did they tell us yes, but they fit us in! Will and Kimberly trimmed Pebbles' nails and did an amazing job! Will has owned and cared for rabbits and it was obvious in how he cared for her. Kimberly was so nice too and so gentle with Pebbles! Dr. Coffman came in to examine Pebbles and he specializes in rabbits which was reassuring! He was so friendly and engaged my 4th grade daughter in asking her questions about Pebbles and affirming how great of a job she is doing taking care of her!! We had an incredible experience today!! I highly recommend Allen Veterinary Hospital and I am so grateful we have somewhere for Pebbles to go!!

Busy spot, isn't that a good thing? =) Only reason they didn't get 5 stars is it was my first visit and you have to blow my mind to get a 5. It was a great visit though. No issues with other animals and the staff was courteous and professional. Vet's bedside was awesome. Will go back

Do you have pets you care about? At this vet, the team here really does care for our four legged family members. More impressive is they aren't price gouging you at moments when you need a helping hand. 5/5, thanks for taking care of our Tucker!

We have been coming to this vet for around 20 years. ALWAYS a good experience. Amanda and Jessica are always working, helpful, and accommodating. Dr. Coffman has seen us through 3 to 4 animals and always takes good care of them.

Well, today wasn't a good visit. Dr. Coffman was off today, so we saw Dr. Baer. She IS NOT personable AT ALL. We get our vaccines from Tractor Supply and keep meticulous records for shots we can't give. We brought our sweet Harvest Willow in for her rabies vaccine and had all her records of the other shots we have given her. Dr. Baer proceeded to tell us that she needed a vaccine we gave her 2 days ago! We mentioned the confusion, but she said Harvest needed it, and we trusted her.

We talked to Amanda and Jessica, who helped us sort out the confusion and that we were good and all is sorted out.

I would recommend not using Dr. Baer, she over vaccinated our Harvest (she's ok) and was very cold.

The staff here is so friendly and always takes the time to help me understand what's going on with my pet. We have been here for years and brought our pets and our foster doggos here. We love this place. Prices are pretty on point as well!
