It's Sunday afternoon; and Honey says, " Let's grab some Indian." SAY LESS!!!
Bawarchi Biryanis in East Frisco is a great place to get your fill. They have the restaurant split into two halves. The right side is for pick up and to go orders. The left is for sit down, dine-in.
The space is simple and beautifully decorated with a bar in the back and classic Indian Music Videos playing on the TV towards the front. Each table is adorned with a labeled table tent for scanning the menu. Our waitress was kind, informative, quick, and efficient. Taking care in answering any questions we had about the dishes and specials.
Top Notch Chef got the Butter Chicken that was tender, juicy, and swimming in the rich butter Gravy. Ordered medium on the spice level, the expert cooks delivered. It was exactly the right amount of heat without overwhelming or dumbing down the exquisite warm spices.
I ordered 1 of the 4 specials available. Andhra Mutton Pulav (best way I can describe it) was an almost deconstructed version of Mutton Biryani. The dryer goat curry was served under a heap of seasoned rice(were as biryani is blended together and a somewhat wetter cousin). The dish was everything I could have hoped and dreamt of. Succulent, curry smothered, spicy goat, that was so tender you could literally suck the meat right off the bone! The spiced basmati rice being served on top acted as insulation for the goat. Keeping the dish piping hot throughout the meal. Accompanied by a side of extra gravy(which if you wanted to push the envelope in the spice category, this is the best way to indugle). As well as Riata ( a yogurt sauce), which helped tip the scales in the opposite direction. Adding a cool, creamy component to tamper down the heat. Rounded out with fluffy, buttery, Garlic Naan for Dipping.
If you're in Frisco and craving Indian. This is where you want to be,
Check it out!!!
Loved the Gobi Manchurian, Malai Kofta, Paneer Tikka Masala & Veg Kheema Biryani. They were all delicious. But as always, tiny amount of raitha!
Update 2:
Veg Manchurian, Kadai Paneer, Paneer Butter masala & Veg Biryani was great too
We had the chicken lollipop - which was ok and the military mutton biryani which was quite flavorful. There was a long wait as it was fairly busy and few people to attend the crowd.
I usually hate Bawarchi from other branch experience! This restaurant changed my opinion.
I really liked the chicken 65 biryani, correctly spiced and chicken kothu parotta was awesome!
Raita was little.
They also serving snacks in the evening with chai.
Overall good restaurant near my home!
This is a new place , the ambiance is super good over here , just as usual the staff is always good.
Too many options for Fish, Shrimp, Chicken, Goat and last but not the least vegetarian options.
Also the appetizers are super amazing.
