Came for the hip hop brunch and I loved everything. The staff was friendly, DJ was good, drinks were great and the food didn’t take long to come out. Check out more on my TikTok @inthesegsostreets
I have been to The Common Table before but this was the first time I was there for the Hip Hop Brunch and it did not disappoint! I frequent The Star and would hear the music for the brunch and thought it sounded like an amazing vibe so when a girlfriend and I were looking for places to have our weekly brunch this was the first place I thought of. Fortunately, she and I plan our brunches in advance so I got online and had no problem getting a reservation. I really wanted to be outside, but due to the Texas summer heat I couldn't risk it and decided to opt for a table inside.
I arrived about 5 minutes early and was seated right away. Fortunately, we were sat in the far back away from the DJ because, let me tell you, the place is very cozy and the music was pretty loud so you could hear it inside and out. You definitely felt like you were at the club - everyone in the restaurant was laughing, dancing and having an amazing time. Even one of the waiters got in on the fun and started dancing by one of the tables. All of it created such a fun and entertaining experience.
There were only two of us so we didn't order one of the towers, but there was one at almost every table that had a group. I've never been to a brunch spot with more drink than food options and there were some really unique drinks and tons of fun variety - I guarantee there's something for everyone. I had the tropical mimosa (light and tasty) and my friend had both a white and red Skittles sangria with the red being stronger than the white but she enjoyed them both! She and I decided to split the chicken biscuit and even though it cost an extra $1.50 it was 100% the right decision. Splitting the meal gave each of us our own egg and it was the perfect portion of food. And I can't forget our server, Jada, who was super sweet and attentive even though this place was SUPER crowded. I cannot wait to have a chance to go back with a group so I can enjoy one of those mimosa towers.
Food: The portions were small for the price and a bit over seasoned. It's a plate, not a bowl.
Service: Excellent service provided by Mr. Arnold...thank you again!
Atmosphere: Great music
My family and I came to celebrate me and my dads birthday, it was a great pick. We made a reservation, I arrived and was seated immediately. If you come later at night, you may have to drive around to find parking. I think this is the best redfish I’ve ever had, everyone enjoyed their food. My dad and I get a drink to celebrate and they were SO GOOD! The waitress was nice and polite as she gave us time to figure out what we wanted to eat. She messed up on our order because she miss heard what we wanted because it was super loud but she let us keep the dish and didn’t charge it to our tab. Overall nice vibe and aesthetic.
It my daughter's birthday and we decided to check out The Common Table restaurant. We decided to reserve a table at 5pm, although it was a Thursday. They were not busy at this time. Our server, Jada, was amazing 👏🏼. The food was excellent. We ordered the Loaded Devil Eggs as an appetizer. We had the Cajun Redfish Scampi and the Grilled Beef Tenderloin Salad (and the Naked Wings to go). It was a great experience. We will be back.
