Other than the MANY Closed restrooms and showers, and the kyak issue, my only other complaint is the bugs... But what do you expect when your camping?!

We stopped for the night here on our way to Arkansas. Nice and quiet and can't beat the price. We didn't get to enjoy the lake this time around but seemed like a great place to enjoy a family weekend. Park roads were recent re-paved and made for a great morning run.

A recreation area on Lake Lavon that maintained by the US Amy Corps of Engineers. Plenty of campsites for RVs as well as those who want to stay in tents. There is also a boat ramp. A day visit pass is $5 per car or free for those with a government recreation (national park) pass .

What a nice little park! There’s rv, tent and equestrian campsites available. We’re tent campers and liked the size of these sites. Each site has a covered picnic table, raised fire ring and water. All the tent sites offer a nice view of Lake Lavon. It’s quiet, even though it’s across of a boat ramp and slips. This is an older Corp of Engineers park, so it could use some repairs and maintenance.

This is our first COE park, so I have minimal basis for comparison except for the numerous other non-COE parks I've been to. This place is nice and spacious. The bathrooms are individual lockable rooms, which is nice. Plenty of hot water, but cleanliness is 2/5.

The grounds are pretty, bit but the roads are in disrepair with lots of giant potholes. The sites are aged but level and decent. Views of and access to the lake make up for most of the shortcomings, though. It's really a beautiful site. If it had sewer hookups, I'd probably have given it 5 stars.
