Comal Crawfish Company

I've visited Comal Crawfish a few times now, and while the food is always outstanding, I have consistently faced one issue: the wait time for the food to arrive. The restaurant is usually quite busy, so I understand a longer wait time, but it can be frustrating.

Our waitress this time, wears a golden necklace maybe of her name, wasn't very welcoming and seemed to have a frown on her face throughout our interaction.
Though the first unwelcoming gestures had concreted in my mind I want to point out that she did check up on us several times during our meal.

The ambiance of the place is laid back and simple—not something you'd describe as "awesome." The restrooms are okay but could use more frequent cleaning.

Despite these drawbacks, the food at Comal is fantastic. We've consistently ordered the crawfish and snow crab, and it has been delicious every time. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, which is nice.

I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars solely because the food is worth coming back for. If they could improve on the wait times and the service, it would be an even better experience.

This was my first time!! It was absolutely amazing! I'm new to the area and this place is close. The food has lots of flavor. The drinks were perfect, not too strong, and not watered down. They had a crawfish special going, so I got two pounds and their shrimp boil! Everything was great, even the service!! I definitely will go there again.

Best boil we’ve ever had. Not so spicy, just right. Fresh ingredients. Tried the aligator sausage, seafood nachos, boil & both soups. We’d go back for sure and recommend it. Kid friendly cat fish nuggets.
