“I've visited Comal Crawfish a few times now, and while the food is always outstanding, I have consistently faced one issue: the wait time for the food to arrive. The restaurant is usually quite busy, so I understand a longer wait time, but it can be frustrating. Our waitress this time, wears a golden necklace maybe of her name, wasn't very welcoming and seemed to have a frown on her face throughout our interaction. Though the first unwelcoming gestures had concreted in my mind I want to point out that she did check up on us several times during our meal. The ambiance of the place is laid back and simple—not something you'd describe as "awesome." The restrooms are okay but could use more frequent cleaning. Despite these drawbacks, the food at Comal is fantastic. We've consistently ordered the crawfish and snow crab, and it has been delicious every time. They offer both outdoor and indoor seating, which is nice. I'm giving this restaurant 4 stars solely because the food is worth coming back for. If they could improve on the wait times and the service, it would be an even better experience.”

“Very tasty! Service is quick and parking in the gravel parking lot makes it for easy in and out. Small town creamy feel that is great for visiting and grabbing a burger or a Reuben.... And even my favorite the chicken sandwich. My family and I often swing in here when we visit canyon lake and we head to Overlook Park or North Park to take the kids for a Sunday. Prices are good and there's a little park out back for the kids to play in a shaded area under the trees next to a creek that flows by the hillside. Picnic tables and the shade tree had the finishing touches to this hometown Drive-In. There's quite a wide variety on the menu so definitely get the fried green tomatoes and fried pickles on the side!”

“Really cool place... I'm local and yeah I love a place I can go to mid week and enjoy cool and unique food and drink. Inferno's has amazing food and great drink. Parking and entrance is a little weird but that is the only difficult thing here. Pizza is the bomb and because it's a wood fire stove they come out quick! Bruchette (spelling) is odd with no mozzarella but still fresh and tasty. I'll be back and you should visit! Hit this place up!”

“I love this place! It’s my new favorite Chinese food restaurant. I love supporting local businesses and less franchise/chains. The food here is great. The wait staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Their location is a little bit hidden in the strip center but easy to find if you’re looking for it. I’ve eaten here twice now and both times were equally excellent. I look forward to eating here again very soon! I ordered the sesame beef and it tasted great! “Tried to go once, but the line was out the door, and there was a 45-minute wait. Came back the next day and got a table. Found out why they had such a long line the day before. The food was awesome. Everything was made fresh and delicious. There were 6 of us, and not a single one of us had a bad thing to say about our meal. We got dessert to-go. I ordered the last slice of strawberry cake. The waitress came to me before we checked out and informed me that when she packed my slice, she noticed the cake was pretty dry. She asked if I'd like a replacement, and I said sure and to just give me whatever she recommends instead. She gave me Italian cream, and it was like a slice of Heaven. I highly recommend this place. HIGHLY. I will be back and so will my friends that were with me. We only come up to Canyon Lake occasionally, but from now on, we'll have a breakfast tradition!”

“From Houston TX visiting Canyon Lake area and Hands down the best BBQ! The Pork Ribs, brisket and jalapeño sausage was amazing. Huge portion 3- meat plate is more than enough for 2 people. For side we got The Mac and Cheese, cole slaw and potato salad all were good. The Baked potato was huge and had a lot of meat in it. Everything was so tasty highly recommend this place! “I had the pleasure of playing at Lakeside Golf Club recently and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised! It appears that the management has taken into account many of the observations made by other reviewers, and the course was in great condition. The unique features of the course, such as the changes in elevation and narrow fairways, made for a challenging yet fun round of golf. The consistency of the fairways and greens was much better than what I had read in previous reviews. The exceptional staff, including the manager Alberto Amero, were very friendly and welcoming. The location of the course is beautiful, with stunning views of the lake. Overall, I would highly recommend Lakeside Golf Club to anyone looking for a great round of golf and a lovely setting. Kudos to the management and staff for taking care of the course and making our experience exceptional! Five stars!”

“Walked over from the TA this morning (12-13-2022) to get a breakfast burrito. The smell was intoxicating and the local Latino community was lined up in front of me to order, I lived in Arizona long enough to know this was a good sign. I ordered two chorizo burritos because I wanted to have one left for tomorrow. I was a little surprised by the price (almost $20.00) but I don’t eat out often so maybe things have changed. They allow you to tell them what’s in the burrito rather than just a standard which was nice. I was more than happy when I grabbed the bag and felt the weight once they were done. I got the salsa verde and walked balk to my truck to eat. OMG!!! The burrito was fantastic and the salsa verde was even better. I drive all over the country and very few places understand that even green sauce should be spicy but they nailed it here. I will never go past this place without stopping unless I absolutely have to.”

“While staying in Canyon Lake area for the summer we wanted to try some good seafood. We love the Boiling Pot in Rockport and found this place just North of Hancock area of the lake. They've really spruced up the place since the last reviews 3 years ago. My husband and I got the Shrimp boil pot. We can eat and this filled us up! $22.95 for a pound of huge gulf shrimp, potatoes, sausage, corn and sourdough bread. We should've ordered the medium spice, my husband likes spicy but I can't take the heat. The key lime and banana pies were also delicious!! The staff (all family of the owner) is super friendly. They are open from 5-9 and it's byob. We will be going back!!”
