“My family and I had been through so much and the last thing we thought we’d ever have to do is pick out my sisters burial site; we had gone to a cemetery that all they seemed to care about was price and making sure we picked them. My family left feeling worse than ever; the funeral home told us about Hill Country Memorial Cemetery and immediately when we arrived we were greeted by the owner and he had been working in the cemetery so he apologized for his appearance. He informed us usually his wife greets us, but she was absent that day. He showed us around and we instantly knew this was the best place to bury my sister. They cared about my family and didn’t treat us like another dollar sign. Like other reviews I too had an encounter with a groundskeeper, however he was very pleasant. I went to visit my sister one day and just stood there staring at her grave crying and lost. He came up to me, stood next to me, and apologized for my loss and let me just tell him about her and cry. He let me take my time, and informed me I was parked where I wasn’t supposed to, but let me take my time before I moved my vehicle. You get a sense of peacefulness and I couldn’t be happier with where we chose to have my sisters final resting place.”

“Big Chief properties is wonderful to work with in planning vacations. We have used them several times and each experience has been wonderful. We stayed at the Comal Haus with our extended family, 10 adults and 8 kids, for thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed cooking and eating on the expansive porch and enjoying the beautiful view of the river. There was plenty of space for the family to relax and have our own space. We have also stayed at the Rapids house next door for a girls weekend and loved the fun vibe of the house. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed!”

“Jay was extremely professional and helpful during a difficult time for our family. We used Deer Creek for my mom when she passed away in 2014, and the upmost care she received from Deer Creek staff was appreciated. My father wanted nobody else to handle his body when he recently passed. With COVID protocols, Jay came to our home to complete the paperwork and walked us through the entire process despite us already going through it back in 2014, so we appreciated the clear communication. They were quick to get me an estimate and were great at facilitating between the car rental place and my insurance company. John was excellent at keeping me in the loop, letting me know when parts were in, when I could drop my car off. Even when I missed my drop-off appointment, Bluebonnet took it in stride. “I love the infrared workouts and the staff is so sweet. (Courtney and Becca will answer any questions and are super encouraging) Hotworx is clean and secure! I’m addicted to detoxifying (ie.sweat bomb) in the infrared sauna and I think the classes are great. You go “at your own best pace”. You schedule your classes on their app. I absolutely love this place and highly recommend it!”
