Elara Caring

Let me tell you! I was not originally referred to Elara Caring after being discharged home from the hospital with a wound VAC. The first company was AWFUL! I knew my cousin-in-law worked in the home health industry so I asked around and she suggested her company. Still skeptical, because of the growing stigma that home health companies just "hire anyone" I agreed to give it a try and I that was the BEST DECISION I made in regards to my care and healing. From Eboni, the intake nurse that came the first day to one of the sweetest, most pleasant and caring Teandra, my nurse that had such a soft hand ( my wound VAC was so painful) but she would talk me through the pain,. I never felt rushed, and she allayed my fears and concerns. SHE WAS HUMAN! Feeling comfortable with your care is a part of healing as well. The only reason my care was discontinued was due to insurance and the fact that I improved. I almost didn't want to get better! LOL PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you have family, loved ones please do NOT allow the hospital to select a home care company because usually the one they pick is who is giving (kickbacks, great lunches or some other nonbeneficial reason to you and your care) PLease choose Elara Caring, because that is what they do. CARE. Each person represented the company so well. They were so apologetic when my insurance no longer covered my visit. They seemed so genuine! I really appreciate all of their efforts, the care, the knowledge and making me feel comfortable.

Hospice care has a lot of negative stigmas attached to it....but let me just tell you that this company is WONDERFUL!!! The staff is amazing and if the admin know what’s best for them they will promote Trevor immediately!!! Trevor was the most caring nurse I have ever met and I myself am an RN....this man truly cared and is not just in this profession for the money. He was so gentle with my grandfather and my family and looked at us as a whole unit and cared for us as well as my grandfather. The entire staff was great but Trevor really stood out. I will FOREVER recommend this company....and finally again to Trevor, you are an Angel...truly....our family owes this man so much!!!

It is my greatest pleasure to express my heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to Julie Merrill, Regional Senior Director, for the tremendous direction, guidance and support I received from her during such an urgent time. Julie seriously saved the day for me and I don't say that lightly. I was highly recommended to Julie during a family urgency - my elderly Aunt, was immediately being discharged prematurely from the hospital by hospital staff, and without their preparing a proper plan in place to support her ongoing recovery. It was a very stressful time for the family, and we were at a loss in knowing how to navigate this, while also under duress by the hospital staff's lack of concern and insistence in discharging my Aunt too soon.

Thank goodness I was referred to Julie - this is when she stepped in! Julie is truly extraordinary and exceptional - she was immediately pro-active assessing the situation and providing expertise, vast knowledge and direction above and beyond what I could have dreamed of - and, not only for my Aunt, but also for my elderly parents for the future. She understood my situation immediately - and relayed thoughtful advice and next steps to prevent any casualties; and a step by step plan of action for the future. She also continued following up to ensure a positive outcome.....it's rare to come across someone as dedicated, talented, compassionate and stellar as Julie - what an incredible reflection of the Brand. I felt like I was placed in the best hands with Julie, and she had my full confidence, as she successfully guided us through a most positive outcome for all family members! .

Julie's drive, passion and enthusiasm for her work is so evident, and she's a true advocate for her clients - she far exceeded my expectations.

Julie successfully relieved a most stressful family situation - what more can anyone hope for! I feel anyone in Julie's presence, whether it be her clients or her staff, are certain to flourish and succeed under her direction.
