I love Cedar Hill library it's a great resource for many things
We are thankful Zula B in Cedar Hill allows us Midlothians to check out books, tablets, and dvds! Sometimes they have crafts for kids and other community activities. There is a fun little house for kids to read inside…computers with educational games for children. My only wish is that the childrens books were displayed better, it is hard to look at them when they are packed so tightly. Also more places to read to children would be nice too.
I was drawn in to this small neighborhood library. The first thing I took note of was the peaceful silence. I felt so serene. I was able to walk the cozy linear aisles without being bombarded by a cacophony of assaulting sounds. Victoria, the calm and articulate librarian engaged me in quiet contemplative conversation. Once I explained I was visiting from MO she offered me the use of their digital library. But alas I am a physical book enthusiast to my core!
I look forward to visiting again. They have plans for a larger library! Hopefully, this will lead to triple the cultural space, intellectual consumption, and community based activities!
This place is more than a home of great books! They offer classes for nearly everything and for all ages. They have classes for baby, toddlers, and young children where they will to learn play, sing and dance all while a great loving Librarian reads stories to them. They have a teens hangout along with many different classes for them. They have tutors for nearly all ages and subjects. And yes they even have classes for us adults with many different topics! They have great FREE events for all ages, everything from puppet shows to how to cook to how to start a business! Their is an awesome musical playground with picnic tables for parents to sit and watch your kids have a great time. They have meeting room that you can even host an informative class in. My children have grown up withtbis place and I to have. Love the passion that everyone here has. They are always welcoming and eager to help!
This was a very nice small place. They actually allowed an Anime Convention to be held here, during normal operational hours. They have a 3D Printer to use. They also have a nice moderate collection of Manga. Worth the visit.
