My sister is from the first graduating class of Skyline High School. I remember for her to attend this new school, she had to have at least a b avg or higher. Are the standards still as high?
Fun, exciting, and awesome. How is it amazing when you got pregnant and became a drug dealer. Lareina
I am a graduate of Skyline High School and Career Development Center, class of 1994. I found the teachers there, almost without exception, to be concerned with the learning and welfare of every student. I was in the Mathematics Cluster my freshman year under Dr. Kresta, and switched to the Science Cluster for my remaining three years. I also was a member of the Mock Trial Team for three years under Gene Shock and Carolyn Lewkowski. I found that activities such as this truly made this high school like a mini-university in the way that they helped to broaden the mind and to teach one to truly think; something at which even many colleges fail today. I am saddened to hear that the clusters may be taken away from Skyline. It is my opinion that the Clusters, along with excellent extracurricular activities as Mock Trial, have set this school apart from others. If the Clusters are taken away, Skyline will likely become "just another high school". To the current parents of students, students, and teachers at Skyline: If you care about your school, you must fight to make it better. Rarely are top-down changes beneficial in the long run.
