Stopped in for lunch on a whim, and Kaze was so tasty! Really enjoyed the ambiance and watching our rolls get made.
We each ordered bentos - the salmon was especially delicious. I also thought our caterpillar roll was tasty as heck! Paired great with our hot sake and Sapporos.
Don’t forget to feed the fish on your way out!
My family has eaten at Kaze many times. Both sushi and hibachi. The food is excellent. The temptation roll is my favorite roll, though volcano is also very good. I usually get the filet and lobster when we get hibachi and it is always excellent. Ask for melted butter & the chef will melt on the grill. Not the healthiest meal, I suppose, but it is SO good. The chefs are typically very good and provide some entertainment.
I have eaten at both locations - Dallas and Mesquite - and the Dallas location is considerably better food.
The sushi was good and it tasted very fresh. I had the temptation roll which was shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese topped with crab and sauce. The decor is nice with a view of their outdoor Japanese garden from most areas of the restaurant. We also had the gyoza, spring roll and jalapeno poppers. They all tasted fine but were nothing out of the ordinary. The service was very good at lunch time.
