“We love this library very kid friendly! It’s always very neat and the staff is sooo helpful. They have a toddler area that is amazing and clean. There is another area for kids to play and color as well. My almost one year old enjoys it!”

“I absolutely love this little local library! It is welcoming and warm (not big and impersonal like larger libraries), the perfect spot to hangout to read or get work done. They have a huge kids section and if there is something that they don't have they will get it sent over from the Main library. Everyone that works here is SO helpful, friendly and kind, especially to my little one who is 3! I am so grateful for this library and that it is closer to us than the Main library.”

“This is one of the best and one of the most unusual libraries in the Dallas Public Library system. It's located south of White Rock Hills, just past I30 in a very nice middle to upper middle class neighborhood. Beautiful Everglade Park is just across the street, as is a DART bus stop. The library grounds are liberally planted with trees, both deciduous and evergreen. The building appears low to the ground, with a steep brown shingled roof and off-white stucco exterior. The landscaping is very pleasing to the eye and twin benches outside the entrance welcome you to sit for a spell. The interior is quite surprising: high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, an appearance which brought to my mind a ski lodge. This is further reinforced by the upper section, closed except for meetings and activities, accessed by a steep stairway. Also, there is an actual fireplace in the Children's section! A librarian informed me that it is actually functional. In part because the building is sectioned off by arched dividers and walls, and partly because the steep roof causes the ceiling to drop down to 8' at the walls, the library has an intimate feel. Groupings of comfortable chairs with tables help accentuate that feeling. I'm very happy to report that the library has a really big selection of Adult Fiction and Nonfiction, as well as Children's and Spanish-language books. The other sections, including CDs, DVDs and PCs, are all more than adequately supplied. I think it's great that the library appears to have sacrificed nothing by having such a wonderfully large selection of books. Worth a trip, even if you don't live in the neighborhood!”

“I was drawn in to this small neighborhood library. The first thing I took note of was the peaceful silence. I felt so serene. I was able to walk the cozy linear aisles without being bombarded by a cacophony of assaulting sounds. Victoria, the calm and articulate librarian engaged me in quiet contemplative conversation. Once I explained I was visiting from MO she offered me the use of their digital library. But alas I am a physical book enthusiast to my core! I look forward to visiting again. They have plans for a larger library! Hopefully, this will lead to triple the cultural space, intellectual consumption, and community based activities!”

“What a great idea for a Free Little Library! Not only can you take and leave a book, but it looks like you could take an herb or two while you're at it. The books look almost new and have a wide variety of genres to choose from. #Highly Recommend!”

“Fantastic library. Everyone there is always very helpful. It is a small library though. The city should expand it, or build a new, larger one. Seagoville is growing, so should its library.”

“I visited this location to take care of some business and it was relatively quiet except for a small group of people. Everybody wore a mask and was socially distanced from each other. Other than having to wait a little longer than expected business was taken care off. I would visit again and would recommend anyone to visit this library.”
