“Northlale college community library is one the most advanced and silent library i have ever been to. They have a large collection of books to every genre. They also have free computers in which you could do your homeworks and essentials. One could also have papaers printed at cheap prices. Make sure you never miss a beat of movie collections they have, which is absolutely free!”

“We went to the pool area by the gym for a birthday party and my kids did not want to leave! Lifeguards were very polite and there were people in the parking lot driving around to drop us off at the right place so we didnt have to walk. It was very warm, they have a kids splash area, slides, a pool with basketball hoops, a hot tub and a little lazy river. And i loved that there were so many family changing rooms with showers in them! Very convenient!”

“Matt (I think that's his name) was awesome! I needed a DVD for a social studies class I teach and although Sunnyvale didn't have it, he stayed on the phone with me, checking other library websites and scouring the internet for places it might stream. Really appreciate how willing he was to help!”

“A good library with a good Dvd and Boom selection. Many computers and nice chairs and areas to sit. Its pretty clean and aesthetically pleasing. I’ve been here many times to check out comics, manga and some dvds. Very nice and they are pretty helpful. I always liked the soft couch cubes. They have many different little programs that I never go to because I’m busy and I don’t live in the area. However there are quite a few I would go to like the gardening one they had once.”

“My grandchildren went after school each day and loved going! They have activities and snacks etc... My grandaughter was even awarded a Microscope for winning a contest at the library. It may appear to be a little bitty place, but there's a lot of knowledge waiting to be shared inside! I recommend anyone in our town to visit the library and enjoy all it has to offer. It's also run by lovely folks.”

“Great library! Very clean, has computers for public use, and plenty of tables in the back for studying. There’s DVDs, manga, and audiobooks you can checkout as well. Has a kid section on the left and an adult section on the right. Wish the hours here were longer, but for a branch library this is pretty good.”

“Very nice library, they have all kinds of activities for children, from cooking class to work out training, the place is very clean and colorful, they have the gym for adults on which you'll have the access to a full sets of equipment and Free weights on which you pay some like 10/month for a little extra you can join the yoga class 3 times a week. This is a great place to keep you away from novelas and the kids from video games.”

“This is a beautiful library. I do hope they will fix the windows from the storm back in June. I appreciate the design and architecture of the building. You will have to check for yourself, but it’s some sort of “green” design. I’m not sure if the details. It’s nice to have newer libraries here in Dallas. The librarians all seem very friendly and willing to help locate a book. The pictures I attached show a modern art piece made of wood. It’s really spectacular.”

“Nice place to be...”
Address: 6102 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75249, USA
“The Mountain Creek Branch library has three outstanding features: First, the grounds. As you enter the library from Mountain Creek Pkwy a sign welcomes you to Emerald Lake Park, (not the library) which might be a bit confusing for first time visitors. But the landscaping nicely compliments the architecture and you do get a state park-like feel when there’s a break in traffic. To the right (east) of the library a wheelchair-friendly path meanders down and indeed leads to Emerald Lake. It’s a pleasure just to sit outside for a while and enjoy the peaceful environment. The second noteworthy feature of the library is its architecture. The early 2000’s saw the merging of brick with glass and steel, often with tall majestic ceilings. This building uses stone instead of brick, giving it a less institutional, softer look. The ceiling is tall, but not ostentatiously so, but with an understated, clean soothing look common throughout the building. The library, inside and out, is welcoming. The third “Wow!” feature is the Children’s section. The current trend in libraries is to have a large Children’s section - Mountain Creek’s takes up almost half the library. Along with the requisite bright colors and cute kiddie mini-furniture, this library has lots and lots of books. An extraordinary collection. And on top of the bookshelves, prominent everywhere, are books standing up saying, Read me!” The rest of the library’s offerings are pretty much average for a library this size. Notable is the fact there are only six or eight computers available.”
