Ketamine Wellness Institute

My son is bipolar and has struggled with drug resistant severe depression for many years. For anyone that has a loved one that lives with depression, it is one of the most heartbreaking and crippling illnesses out there. You would give anything to see your loved one happy and wanting to live life. We had tried multiple therapies and medications, and nothing could alleviate the depression my son felt. Then I had someone ask if I had ever heard of Ketamine treatments. I had not. I started researching, and asked our family physician about Ketamine for depression. She agreed it was worth a shot. It doesn’t just mask depression it causes the brain to reconnect brain cells and neurons that weren’t connecting before. The night before my son’s first treatment, he was literally crying and telling me that he wished he hadn’t been born. I asked him if he could make it through the morning to his first treatment. He said he could. He did the first treatment. It took about an hour for the effects of the Ketamine to wear off, but he was so happy. He told me he was having a good day and he hadn’t felt that good in a long time. We continued to do treatments for the next couple of weeks. I just couldn’t believe the difference in my son. He was even contacting friends to hang out. He is normally not social. He has been doing great since his last treatment over a week and a half ago, and we are now just monitoring him and will be doing Ketamine treatments on an as needed basis. I would give anything to take his depression from him. I’m so grateful for the Ketamine Wellness Institute in Flower Mound. The staff is so kind and knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. I will continue to bring my son here for treatments as needed.

This treatment worked for me. The staff is attentive and compassionate. They do not offer mental health counseling so I recommend that you consult a professional before, during and after your treatments.
The office visits are safe and welcoming. My life is magnitudes better than before treatment and I’m not being hyperbolic. My main concerns prior to treatment were, would the experience be scary, and would the treatment last over time.
Ketamine can have fearful moments but the staff is very patient and attentive. You are continually monitored and anytime I called for them they were there right away. It’s been two months since my treatment and I don’t feel like anything is wearing off.
Any fearful or anxious moments don’t last long and the experience is very dreamy, peaceful and floaty. They start you with a low dose, and you work up to a low-moderate dose if you want, but you’re always in control.
Obviously your results will vary and the treatment may not work for all mood disorders. I have complex PTSD and after treatment my anxiety is low, negative thought patterns are quickly checked and I no longer live in fight or flight mode.
If you have panic attacks or PTSD and don’t want to ingest mind altering drugs everyday, I would research this option with your healthcare professional.

I had a great experience with my infusions. The staff are very caring, and the infusion rooms are upscale and very relaxing. I felt very well taken care of during my entire process. I would highly recommend for someone seeking this type of treatment.
