Top notch facility!

I’ve had myriad doctors in my life, covering virtually every specialization, from orthopedic surgeons to internists. And Dr. Gillem is one of the absolute best. She takes care of my entire family, and I cannot express how much of a godsend having a great primary care physician is in this time of COVID. She takes as long as is needed to address any concerns, listens, and is a fantastic diagnostician. Too many doctors just want to whip out the prescription pad. She’s not like that. She looks at all the possible remedies for whatever ails her patient, and explains why she chooses whatever treatment option she does. And through the patient portal USMD has, it’s easy to get in touch with her immediately. I was visiting an allergist getting testing done, and needed a refill on my epi pen. Within an hour, before leaving that doctor’s office, my pharmacy was texting me to confirm that prescription was ready to be picked up. I wasn’t all that surprised. She’s always on top of…everything.

Dr. Gillem cares about her patients. That may sound cliched, but it’s true. She is a DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine), meaning that she takes a holistic approach, looking at the patient’s complete health, not just the curing an individual problem. She places the complete well-being of the patient at the forefront.

If you’re in the Flower Mound area looking for a physician, you will not do better than Dr. Gillem.

Dr. Gillem and her staff are so helpful!! Taking care of my elderly mother is a new journey and dealing with Medicare, requirements for referrals to specialists and all the stuff can be overwhelming, but Dr. Gillem and her staff are always great about helping us navigate the system and get the care my mom needs.
