This is a great spot for a day picnic. It’s located in Lewisville. Lot of picnic tables with grills. There is beach area where kids can enjoy. The place is big and open for a nice walk. Overall a great place with water and green space to relax and enjoy. The park has a 10$ fee per car to get inside.
The closest thing to a dog-friendly beach in North Dallas: sand, grass and picnic tables. A great place to bring the fam, the dogs and BBQ. It was super sunny and hot, bring a lot of water and try to get there early to find a nice spot near the water under a tree. There are multiple beaches to enjoy and plenty of uncovered parking. There is a boat ramp and a camping area nearby (where you have to reserve in advance). I went there on a weekend and while it was busy, there was plenty of room to relax in quiet.
Wow I loved this place! The best place to go if you want a feel of sea beach near the Dallas city
Only half an hour a drive from the city. It charges $10 per vehicle for a day, however many people can be in the car. They do not charge per person which is a plus point. Also they have annual passes per car if you want to look into that. Good facility and clean place. The beach has pebbles and stones on the edge of the water so please bring slippers/Crocs if you don't want your feet hurt. There is sand for kids to play or build castles. Actually it's perfect for kids. Shallow water and kids can play jump do whatever, without parents having to worry about them of getting drowned. Also the people do get boats and racing boats and stuff there. So definitely a fun place for bachelors and young people. They do have benches and tables if you want to have a picnic. The gps does guide you to the golf place at first that is right by the sea but if you redirect it from there , it would take you to their entrance. Must visit place if you are looking for a one day trip with family or friends. Do remember they are generally crowded however the place being a huge one, crowd doesn't really bother you much.
Beautiful park located about 2 miles away from Lewisville downtown. Magnificent lake view and a single trail that surrounds the water which you can quickly hike in less than 30 minutes. Be prepared to share the space with disk golfers which are largely present. Something worth improving is the trash collection, despite of the bins people still throw carelessly their waste near the water. I think this is a good place to unwind
A very wonderful place to spend your weekend or few hours. It’s a huge lake with many entrances. Some of them are free to go and some require an entrance free and some are completely private. So I would suggest to select the spot before you go. You can do so many activities there like swimming, fishing, boating, bbq or just roaming around. I am sure that the cool breeze will soothe your mind. In the spring you may see a field of bluebonnets there.
