Visited on April 24, 2022… The area was beautiful and clean. It wasn’t crowded. There was plenty of space. There are picnic tables and portable restrooms. It was my first time visiting and I would definitely come back!
One of the most beautiful spots to visit for the Bluebonnet season. Incredibly beautiful and relaxing. A great place to spend time with family ,have a small picnic, a stroll and click some Instagram worthy pictures:D
Like many other Texans, I have seen our beautiful state flower on the side of roads while traveling through our state. But there is nothing like being able to walk through a field covered in them. My kids loved the experience and so did plenty of leashed dogs. Just drive in park, get out of you vehicle and walk around. It was awesome!
April 9, 80°F the bluebonnets are gorgeous and the weather is perfect to picnic. There's limited shade areas, but lots of picnic tables to sit at and look at the bluebonnets or Bardell Lake. We drove an 1.5 hours to get there and it was so worth it!
Not blooming much this year 2022, but much better than blue bonnet park. I give 6 out of 10 here as there are spots for pix. On 660 off 34 is also a good spot, but it's on private land. Further north of 660 have 2 more spots.
Formerly known as Bluebonnet City Park, this area consists of 39 acres located on the northeastern shore of the lake. Access is via Lake Bardwell Rd (Highway 34). There are no sanitary facilities at this time and the area is only accessible by foot. Nature lovers may park at the entrance and step over the short gate to walk into the area.
