Dr. Thacker saved my life and will be greatly missed. Dealing with Chronic Pancreatitis for over 20 years has been a nightmare, spending many years collectively in ER and ICU, and after years of being told "pain management" is the best option for me, I left Pain Management after hearing great things about Dr. Thacker, and I'm so blessed to have been a patient of his for the last decade. I thank God for blessing me with the ability to spend so much less time in the hospital, because Dr. Thacker is so extremely knowledgeable, competent, such an incredible doctor, and cared enough to treat all of my pancreatitis symptoms (and any other medical issues in 10 years), and not just the pain. I doubt I will ever find another doctor as brilliant and caring as Dr. Thacker, in my vast experience with doctors and hospitals, he's truly one of a kind, and will be greatly missed and loved by me definitely, but no doubt hundreds or thousands of others who he truly CARED for. Even his seemingly "gruff" bedside manner at first visit couldn't have been any more misplaced of a judgment. He was funny, down to earth, and told you like it is, and I loved that. Primarily because I believed and trusted in his experience, knowing he ALWAYS had my best interests at heart. Even when I was uninsured, he was affordable, and the office staff was amazing at working you in any time you needed to be seen without an appointment. And yet it was still never a long wait. If he sounds too good to be true, it's because if I hadn't been his patient for 10 years, I'd think so as well. They just don't make them like Dr. Thacker, and I hope he enjoys every moment of his much deserved retirement, and knows how greatly he's missed. Also, Jane and Mickie, (and Jane's granddaughter) and Cassie who previously worked there, thank you all so much for all of the kindness and support you've shown me over the years. I'll miss you all, and am really sad that the doctor brought in to "replace" Dr. Thacker isn't able to fill his shoes, but it's almost impossible to even walk in the footsteps of a doctor and person as incredibly amazing and beloved as Dr. Brett Thacker. Thank you Dr. Thacker and staff, I love you all and thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me have the best years of my life since my battle with chronic pancreatitis began almost 25 years ago. God bless you all, as you've blessed me over the many, many years❣🙏🏼💜

Dr Thacker is a wonderful doctor. Several years ago, my family was called to Baylor Hospital in Dallas to say our last goodbyes to my grandmother. My mother asked Dr Thacker to come and please check on her. She did not trust the doctors there in Dallas. Dr Thacker being a good man he is obliged my mother. The days following up this, my grandmother could only make little whimpers and grunts. Dr Thacker arrived and started speaking to my grandmother. He acted as if he could understand her. At this point I thought Dr Thacker had lost his mind. He then reached around on cart and ripped a piece of cardboard off and wrote down 3 items. He then turned to me, and said go to the pharmacy and get me these items. I must have gave him my are you crazy face, he then sternly said hurry! 15 minutes later I returned with the items. He then began to take some tongue depressors and mixed a concoction. He took one of the tongue depressors and placed the concoction at the back of my grandmothers throat. She then coughed, and said I couldn’t talk!!!! Dr Thacker said, Miss Day, I know, I know. Her throat was swollen shut and she was starving to death and suffering severe dehydration. He saved my grandmother’s life, With a couple items from the pharmacy! We got another whole three years with our Granny!!!! So that’s why to this day, he is my hero, and still my Doctor!!! Thank you Dr Thacker!!!!
Great staff and Dr. Thacker has helped me continually throughout the years. Very attentive to your needs and explains everything thoroughly in your vists with him. Haven't had a problem yet to date and it's been 5 years!
