Bonham State Park

Very nice State Park. It was very quiet and peaceful. The sites were very well kept and the grounds and amenities were top notch. We had site #1 with full Hook up and we had no issues. Plenty of room and an easy back in. I would highly recommend this park.

I have been looking for a good camping place in Texas for the last few weeks since I moved here and my first pick was Bonham. Just about an hour from the DFW area, Bonham has an amazing camping area with fishing, running, walking, hiking trails.
I went during the Thanksgiving weekend so it was raining which was hard to do a lot of the activities the beautiful State Park offers but I had a good time just getting away from the city crowds and had some time to read.
The park offers power for your RV or tent, water, and well maintained shower/restrooms.
Whether a day pass or overnight camping, I recommend reserving ahead of time.

Amazing, clean, bathrooms and trails exceptional. Campsites had everything you need. We camped in a tent spot. Designated tent plot easily fits two tents and large enough to have more. With electrical post right there. Water, picnic table, grill and fire pit. Animal friendly perfect place to wander and rest with minimal effort. There is also a few pavilions, a dock with paddle boats.

Such a beautiful place. We randomly went on an hour drive and found this place. It's very nice and clean. Very family-friendly. There's RV camping and areas for tents. They have buildings with bathrooms and showers. Loved it!!

Small park, but definitely enough activities to keep you busy for a day. Clean trails, camping, hiking, biking, fishing, canoe, kayak, and pedal boat rentals. Nice big restrooms with nice shower stalls. Nice kids play area, sand volleyball court, and covered picnic area. We had a lot of fun doing the photo Scavenger hunt and really enjoyed chatting with some of the rangers.
