(March 9, 2019, 5:22 pm)I took a friend from Germany to the Kemah boardwalk, and we stopped by this restaurant for lunch. It's quite decent - the selection in the buffet was quite good with both southern options to give him an idea of various kinds of the southern US cuisine, and a decent selection of other stuff (roast beef was quite good).
(March 7, 2019, 5:03 pm)Food was yummy. Lots to choose from. Fish, shrimp, pork, beef, roast, chicken, ribs, large salad bar, fruit and dessert. The views are beautiful. You can see the little river and boats sailing by. It's right next to the board walk. Literally a minute walk. I highly recommend. The price was $16 as of 3/19
The atmosphere was calm. Light music and natural lighting from the surroundng glass windows. The service was exceptional. The server waskind, patient, and vigilant.
(February 1, 2019, 6:56 pm)My wife and our friend just had a late lunch at this wonderful restaurant. We had Joana as our server, WE WANTED FOR NOTHING, she is an outstanding server. Had a chance to talk with Frankie, the chef, and he was so kind and answered all my questions about food prep (I'm a cook as well). I also paid my compliments on his shrimp etouffee and the shrimp and grits, both of which were absolutely excellent. Thank you lighthouse buffet for a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back ????
(February 1, 2019, 5:44 am)This is a buffet with seafood as the primary theme. It has a great salad bar but it's expensive because you can only get the buffet. The price for one is $16 plus tax. If you're a big eater, that's not an expensive buffet, but I usually take home left-overs for much less expensive meals.
However, the food is great and it's located on the water at Kemah. The service was also excellent and it is part of Landry's, so you could get discounts.
I forgot to ask about senior discounts and no one mentioned any.
