“This is a new shop recently & we decided to try them instead of our usual place as it's close to our house. Man are we glad we did! The donuts are fresh, and have great flavor! They always add neat little toppings to the color glazed donuts for our boys sometimes with different cereals, m&m's or they make little monster eyes etc. The colored glaze has great flavor too which taste like the color. Red is strawberry, blue is raspberry etc. I've only ever had the glaze at other places colored but never had a specific flavor like this place does. The blueberry cake which is one of my favorites is fantastic and the regular glaze are as well. I feel they go the extra mile to make their donuts taste & look much better! The custard in their filled donuts & exclaims as well as the chocolate filled are to die for as well! You can't go wrong with anything here, we've been trying everything & my hubby & kiddos love the apple fritters as well!”

“Jennifer in the vision center is really awesome! She has a wonderful personality. very friendly and helpful. She is through and makes sure you find the right pair of glasses to fit your face and needs. My niece was unsure of what to choose. She went back and fourth until Jennifer stepped in to help. In no time my niece had the glasses she wanted. Then Jennifer took the time to explain the protection for her glasses and the cost. She let us know that my niece could get a second pair of glasses as backup just in case something happens to the first pair. Wow. I love her energy! It was a pleasure to have her assist us. Thank you Jennifer”

“Art Bakery is open every Friday afternoon, and it is an absolute highlight of my week. My favorite item that they sell is the banana raisin muffin. I don't even like bananas. My original stance was that bananas corrupt anything they touch, however, the banana raisin muffins are out of this world! They are incredibly moist with amazing texture and flavor. The wonderful baker, Tessa, even comes up with new items every Friday. You will regret not stopping by!”

“We had Jula make our wedding cake which was a semi naked cake with berries around the edges and a dessert table which included, macaroons, lemon bars, brownie bars, and cupcakes. We were blown away at how beautiful and delicious our cake was! Our family and friends were crowding around the dessert table more than the dance floor so I'm sure they liked the desserts too. We loved our experience with Jula.”

“Happy to see this place open. I heard about their location in Texas City but have not had a chance to try it. Looks like they opened a pop-up shop inside La Cocina by Chef Mary Bass. Really friendly and upbeat staff. Excellent variety of kolaches. Growing up with a Czech Grandma, I tend to be "judgy" about my kolaches. 😄 My only issue is that they don't have the dough to filling ratio right (too much dough). It's a minor issue because their variety and flavors are fantastic! The "Becky" was so good. Stop by this shop. Don't miss out on trying these kolaches.”

“First time visiting and won't be last. Even though the place is small, we weren't crowded. We visited around 1pm on a Sunday. They were out of horchata but had other Aguas frescas. The pan dulce is just ok. I'm picky about my pan de huevo... seems like many places stopped using aniss (still on the look out). The menudo was a nice surprise. The soup was very flavorful, just wished they gave more meat and hominy. Freshly made corn tortillas were excellent, and nice flour tortillas too. The barbacoa is good too. Over all the flavor and service was great. We will be visiting again soon.”

“Don't even know where to start. This place is amazing! I'll start with the staff. Very friendly, spunky, and appears to be a fun place to work. My wife and I got an earful about the tennis shoes were wearing. Building common ground with the cashier before placing our order was a bonus. The selection alone is beyond expectations of kolache's if you are a first time customer. Be prepared to spend a little more but you are getting what you pay for. The Kolachies were fantastic. Our choice was with the biscuts and gravy, and the chorizo. If you are looking for a kolache that will impress EVERYONE, buy it from this place. 5 stars.”

“Excellent glazed donuts. Tender with a lightly sweet glaze that is not to heavy nor too thick. The glaze is light and silky on the tongue a perfect match for the crisp outer of the donut with the tender, just the right amount of chewiness on the inside.”

“This is a fun place to stop off the beach and have a cold yummy snack on a hot day. The ice cream was refreshing, but a little pricey. Also, I would’ve thought they would have more of Ben and Jerry’s creative flavors. All in all, it’s a good ice cream shop.”
