Kristen Ausburn - Speech & Feeding Therapy Sherman

Kristen was amazing! I signed my 4 year old up for her speech summer camp and he loved it. Normally he hates leaving the house but he excitedly got out the door each day. His speech improved along with our skills in supporting him. Kristen went above and beyond making us feel well equipped to move forward once the camp was over. We will definitely work with her in the future. Highly recommend!

Kristen was my son's in-home speech therapist when he was 3 years old. My son had been in therapy since he was 13 months old and was completely non verbal. He was still navigating his way in communication and when Kristen came along it clicked. She introduced AAC to us and even worked hard to help us get insurance to cover all we needed. Her desire to help my son went beyond just her job, she loved him and wanted everything for him just as she would her own. Her calm and loving patience with our kiddo was palpable at every visit. We are so thankful for her dedication to our journey and providing our son a way to communicate, which I have no doubt helped spurred his journey into being able to talk!

Kristen helps our son so much. He went from being barely intelligible to family, to most strangers understanding what he says. Kristen is patient and encourages our son in ways that helps him want to work hard at speaking clearly. I highly recommend Kristen for any speech therapy needs!!

Kristen was my son’s Speech Therapist and was amazing with him! With Lucas having special needs, this brought challenges and Kristen was ready and prepared to accept all his challenges!At such a young age, Lucas had many feeding and swallowing challenges and Kristen came up with different approaches that best fit Lucas’s needs. She came up with achievable goals and help herself accountable. Her attention to detail is what makes her thrive! She treats every patient as if they were her own. We love her and would recommend her to any family who is looking for the best ST!!

Kristen was my daughters speech therapist for almost two years and was by far the best speech therapist we’ve had. She made sure to revolve her teachings and work with my daughter around her interest to maintain attention for as long as possible. We saw huge strides in my daughters speech and eating while Kristen was her therapist and my daughter LOVED her so much that she would try to leave with her after every appointment. Kristen is not only a great therapist that would continually come in with new information from new studies regarding speech and development but she is also an amazing person with a great heart. The worst part about having her was when she moved too far away for us to use.
