I remember learning about this as a kid on an Unsolved Mysteries episode. Some of the homeowners tried to sue the developer however the crooked judge ruled in the developers favor. They didn’t bother to remove the human remains nor disclose to homeowners that some of their homes are built on top of graves.
There was an African American cemetery there but developers put residential housing on top of it and left the human remains where they laid.
