(March 19, 2020, 12:11 pm)This is hands down one of the best braid shops in Houston. The place is clean, the owner and staff have great customer service etiquette and they braid very neat and fast. They offer a nice relaxing environment that is not chaotic and loud at all. This place is a hidden gem. You have got to try this place you will not regret it! I don’t usually even write reviews but with so many unruly, unprofessional and just flat out ghetto shops that are out there, I felt this review was needed so people know that not all braid shops are created equal. Now that I found this shop I will not go anywhere else!
(March 14, 2020, 4:45 pm)The people there are always generous.They take the time and do my style right. Typically when I go, I get a sew in style. It last 2 months because it is done right. The braid technique is done in a professional manner. That's why I continue to choose this place to get my hair done.
(January 18, 2020, 1:23 am)Today was my second visit to Ummiah. They are now the ONLY place that I will ever go to for braids in Houston. I’ve been to several places all over the city and these ladies do the best job by far. I’m an attorney and it’s very important to me that my braids look professional—they listened to me and made sure that I was happy with their work. The ladies are efficient with their time. The salon is very clean and nice. Their services are reasonably priced. My first visit was a 5-star experience as well.
(December 29, 2019, 10:13 am)Excellent service and was available at the time my appointment. I use human hair to braid which is hard to find someone to do these days with the change in what is used to braid with, synthetic hair. So l was elated to see it was done right and no complaining as l have experienced because it's not as easy as the synthetic hair.

Went above and beyond by any measure.
Wish they allowed tipping she deserves a accommodation for her service.
