(August 25, 2020, 2:31 pm)I have recorded my 2020 album here. It was a real pleasure to work here. Musical expertise and help I got as a musician, producer and author was indispensable. John Edward Ross really listens to your artistic goals and helps your musical style come alive in its many wonderful colors! I am grateful for this experience and I find it to be the best and most inspiring in my life.

He has endless patience, and understanding with the process of working with me as an artist. The PR team has also been instrumental in guiding me through my social media campaigns.
(June 28, 2019, 12:18 pm)My son has been taking guitar lessons with John Edward for 3 years now and it has been a wonderful experience. He is patient, kind, structured, and incredibly talented. The studio space is inviting, warm, and a great experience for my son to be exposed to the behind the scenes of creating music. I love the 30 mn I get each week just to sit and enjoy the space! We've also had the opportunity to be invited to his salons...a gathering of his network of creative friends and collaborators to discuss art, music, life, anything and everything. These evenings have been soul enriching!
(June 5, 2019, 7:07 pm)I just want to give a shout out to John Edward Ross (owner and producer) at Studio Sassafras Music--a private recording studio in Downtown Houston. When I was looking for a place to record my original music, a singer friend immediately recommended John Edward's. She said, "I've been in a lot of studios and the vibe there is clean. He puts artists first. You can't do better." She was SO right. John Edward is a pleasure to collaborate with and his studio is a beautiful, state of the art space. He brings an impressive tool set to his work--from recording, to producing, arranging, digital orchestration and guitar chops! He's handled everything from film scores to corporate projects, solo artists, bands, and school groups and all that experience shows. Plus, he's so well-connected in the Houston music community, if you need a studio musician, he'll have the perfect contact. If you're looking for a small, supportive studio that delivers "big studio" results--give Sassafras a try.
