(February 24, 2019, 3:08 pm)I love BCA!! My child has flourished since coming to this school at 11months! The teachers and administrators treat my child like their own family! The education and curriculum continuously push our son to his greatest potential! I really enjoy being a member of the PTA and becoming more engaged in my child’s environment! In the last 2.5 years we have been impressed and continue to be impressed by the high standard and expectations set forth for our child!

(January 11, 2018, 8:17 am)I enrolled my child at BCA in Oct2016 and I've been more than satisfied with what BCA has offered in the past and continues to offer in the present.
I attended a private, Christian school in Brooklyn, N.Y. and graduated as the salutatorian of my class. So there is value to a Christian education in a private school setting - most especially for the Black child. This is very important given the society we find ourselves in today. And I say that quite emphatically.
With that in mind, a private school education can be a stretch for most parents financially. I have personally sacrificed things I want to pay my child's tuition at BCA. And for each sacrifice made, I concluded that the value in keeping my child at BCA was worth it.
BCA's value has been in the high standard set for every single person, from children to parents to teachers. Disruptive children have been asked to leave the school. Teachers have faced disciplinary action. Parents have been asked to be polite while fiercely advocating for their children. BCA's high standard is across the board for everyone.
Besides setting a high standard for behavior, the current administration has created an environment for learning and growth. The current first grade class does second grade work. Which means that when taking STAAR exams in 3rd grade, the students' test scores will be above standard (bragging rights for any parent out there).
In addition, BCA compares quite well with the other private Christian school nearby. Academically, there is no difference between that school and the BCA. And I say that honestly because my niece attends that school and my child's performance mirrors hers. In fact, I choose the BCA over that school for cultural reasons.
So I thank God for leading me to the BCA when I needed a school for my child. I also thank God for His Grace in making the sacrifice to keep my child enrolled there. Most of all, I thank God for the teachers & staff who have taught my child so much! Much more than I expected or anticipated!
BCA has been a worthwhile investment in my child's future. And all things considered, it is my great hope to complete Grade 5 at the BCA.
P.S. To Pastor West - please provide resources to record the school's Christmas shows! It would be a great tool for advertising and also shows off all the non-academic work the teachers do!
