I have thrown my baby shower here, and I had my daughter's birthday here ! I love the fact its near water people are always kind. For my daughter's 5th birthday a sheriff took her jet skiing on the water. I was so grateful that was her best birthday yet
This is a great park. It's huge, has numerous playgrounds for kids of any age, and even a senior area and a workout area for adults. The only reason I can't give it five is that the bathrooms could be cleaner and the lights under the pavilions are scary filthy with webs, dirt, and dead bugs. The newly smoothed trails are fantastic.
Really nice park, great views so much space. The pavilions are big nice tables and setup. Play area for the kids, restrooms and just all around a great outdoor experience. I've enjoyed this park every time we've been here.
It a nice big park great for family events very protected police everywhere pretty much lots of park you can even bring your boat now the water was very pretty at one point but since the hurricane it hasn’t been the same cooler but even with that it’s still nice to see enjoy to out doors the also have bbq pits like 7 play ground for kids!!!!EVEN WORKOUT EQUIPMENT AND LOTS LOTS OF RESTROOM
Great park. The dog park has been clean every time I go as has the rest of the park. Police are always rolling around so I never worry about safety. Lots of playgrounds for the kiddos.
Alexander Deussen (1882-1959), a petroleum geologist, donated a 309-acre site on Lake Houston to Harris County in 1956. The site was converted into a public park and named the Alexander Deussen Park. The highlight of the park is a herd of buffalo, giving visitors the opportunity to view these large and beautiful creatures in a natural setting.
