“After several years of living at the Marquis Lofts, I can still say it is my favorite place to live. I love the location right in the city. I can get anywhere quickly from here. The growing neighborhood has lots of activity and living the urban lifestyle beats the either cold, quiet, cookie cutter units or fraternity style apartments other complex’s seem to offer for me. The amenities starting with our office, to the active pool in the summer are great. The spaces in the building are unique and great to actually use. The building is an old cotton plant, full of character with concrete, brick walls, pillars and wood. That certainly affects things like sound to be accounted for but if you let them know what you expect out of your apartment, the management can help place you in the spot you’d be happiest in the building. There are like 96 different floor plans or something. People in the complex are living. It’s full of creative and active lifestyle type people. Most are super friendly and it’s the first place I’ve lived that people talk to each other. There’s lots of dogs. ..Not always the most responsible pet owners. I personally love animals but it’s something to be aware of if you don’t. Nothing is perfect, but the management takes active steps to address your issues as best they can once your issue is appropriately addressed and adequate time to resolve is given. Maintenance is fantastic. Put a request in the portal and they’re there same day or next morning. They change the light bulbs, fix or replace things that are broken, handle air quality, etc. I look forward to those who appreciate it here as much as I do, joining our community!”

I met them at the start of my search for a first home when I had no idea what I was looking for, what I could afford, what part of town I wanted to focus on, or even that there were different kinds of loans. Over the course of a few short months, Loren (very patiently and kindly) helped me figure it all out. We went to all kinds of showings whenever it was convenient for me, and he helped me prioritize what I actually wanted. I had a ton of questions about every part of the process, and Loren went above and beyond to answer each question - everything from "What kind of loan would I need for all these renovations?" to "How much does a decent stove cost?" to "Would I be able to get out of my current lease?" to "What does escrow mean?". When it came to pursuing homes that I liked, he worked as an advocate for me and helped me get a really great price for the house itself and to get repairs made at a great price as a result of the inspection. We've toured other apartments looking for a change of scenery, but Midtown Arbor seemed to be perfect in every way. It's close to everything, yet secluded and quiet, it's always super clean and well-maintained, but most of all the staff awe so nice and welcoming. We initially fell in love with the place because of Loretta, but now we don't want to leave Caleb behind (We want him back, by the way)!!
