“Cambridge is the perfect distance from UH to walk or ride your bike to class! The staff is fun, friendly, and they're always doing events with fun activities and free food to show their residents that they really appreciate them choosing Cambridge. The apartments have been recently renovated and look much more modern than before, along with the office where you are able to work on homework if the library is too far! I personally recommend living here, great community!”

“I just signed my lease with Aspen this July and I am so happy I did. It's a great place to live and it's close to the school. There's a really nice and helpful girl that works in the leasing office named Bella. Every time I have had questions or needed help she was quick to resolve any issue I had.”

“Texas Southern University. *sigh* I visited this school countless number times because my boyfriend and I are long distance. The faculty and students became family. It got to the point where people thought I went there for graduate school. Everyone you meet at this school takes PRIDE in being a Tiger. Texas Southern University is a public Historical Black College University (HBCU). According to their website, "The university was established in 1927 as the Houston Colored Junior College. It developed through its private college phase as the four-year Houston Colored College. On March 3, 1947, the state declared this to be the first state university in Houston; it was renamed Texas State University for Negroes. In 1951, the name changed to Texas Southern University. " Let's just say, HISTORIC. Every time I would come visit, the school was always painted with the smiles of maroon and grey. Students have the opportunity to advance in their education with a bachelors, masters, and in Law. Texas Southern University is a championship school. When I say that, I actually mean it. Their sports teams are well known in their SWAC Division for great reasons. This charming HBCU school is home to a diverse amount of students that love to participate to make their school a better place. From their student council to Greek life (Black greek orgs, band, music, and multicultural), to specialized clubs, Texas Southern University has a lot to offer. Note and advise to current students and future students: Get involved. Do internships. Next work as much as possible and cherish what your school has to offer!”

“UPDATE: this area has been cleaned up! Way to go! I love the school itself, I love the security on the school grounds, directing traffic and all. BUT.....if we want to be known for our beautiful and safe campus and encourage others to come to this university, something must be done about the homeless person(s) camping here. I see kids using their bikes down this street to get to school, and they have to pass through here. If this person needs help, then he/she should be taken to get help, but it is embarrassing. At the front entrance, you will see a homeless man with a sign, and he retreats to his camp. There is no way you cannot see it, and the funny thing is that a cop stops nearly everyday to stop speeding cars. Now, no, you should not be speeding, but this person is literally adding more and more stuff here when it is illegal! And in the mean time lots and lots of students are paying lots of money to stay in the dorms. They might as well just camp here too for free.”
