“I debated whether to give 4 stars or 5, then it struck me: I have an expectation. I've been coming to Pappas since it opened in 1981, and have come to expect an extremely high standard of food and service. Food recipes are still top notch, worthy of consideration for Michelin star ratings (if none have been awarded). Of course they consider all aspect of the experience, including ambiance. One of my draws is the noise levels, feels like a party, sort of. When I was young, this was the place waiters wanted to come because the pay would be fantastic. Not sure if it still is, but little things like drink orders quickly taken and delivered, teams making sure waters were refilled as a section. Unfortunately, this last part isn't the same now. Could have been because there was a trainer showing a trainee the ropes, but that attention to detail has always been part of my expectations. Wasn't the only thing, but when I realized I was fussy, it was because I had such high, high expectations for excellence. No one can maintain that level forever. Still great food and pretty darn good service too. Still worth 5 stars, even from someone whose fussy, like me.”

“At first, it looks like a shop for your grandmother, who wants furniture, clothes, and some jewelry and jewelry-like doorknobs. So, initially, I was immediately disappointed. However, it's a shop with a little bit for almost everyone. As I wandered though the aisles, I found more and more stuff that interested me, not even including their massive selection of different alcohols. They have foods and such from the works, including Europe, Asia, and even Australia, Philippines, and New Zealand, which are often forgotten. I walked in expecting a grocery store with stuff from around the world, thought I saw a grandmother's dream shop, and actually found a shop that I'll return to again and again. Walked out with ceramic chopsticks to replace my own, a small Japanese ceramic cup, and some sake, which I haven't had before. I will likely return for other stuff that aren't just Eastern, as well. Also, who doesn't love wine tasting? Saturdays between 1 - 4 pm.”

Staff is very friendly and comprehensive and are always ready and willing to help, I go here all the time when im going to pay my bill or if i have any problems i go to them and they do everything they can to help me out,. I am very satisfied and pleased with their service and staff.The tall guy was fast and efficient. He helped a room full of customer in a quick manner. He conversed with everyone like we belonged.
