“I definitely recommend Pecan Park in La Porte, Texas! This is a fantastic park with a playground, walkway throughout the area, restrooms, a concession stand, and several baseball fields. A parking lot is interesting between fields and other amenities inside of Pecan Park.”

“My husband and I have been coming since Sept. It has definitely gotten a lot better with the new owner. I love that it small and there is never more than like 10 at a time in there and way more comfortable work out setting here than at a big franchise gym. Even left my wedding ring there on accident after a morning work out my husband went to almost 2 hours later and it was still there in the same spot.”

“I took the "Hard Hat" tour with a group of my friends. This tour is led by a (very, very well informed) team of volunteers, and visits parts of the ship that are not open to the general public. As the name states, you are issued a hard-hat for the tour, as some of the areas accessed must be reached through low openings, or traverse stairs with places likely to find your head unexpectedly. It takes over three hours, but it is well worth it. Fascinating stories, and an incredibly fascinating ship. Well worth the time and cost of admission! Highly recommended.”
