Lovely hidden gem tucked away on the quiet hills of Dripping Springs just outside Austin. Seemingly designed as a top-tier desert destination wedding, it can also be enjoyed by families, travelers, adventurers looking for a classy respite from city life with all the comforts of home. Been telling everyone about Camp Lucy. Can’t wait for our paths to cross once again.
Stayed for a 3-day weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and had an awesome time! Did a couple of the resort activities, archery and yoga, with Laurel, who was so kind, helpful, and has such a beautiful warm countenance. She’s a gem. Pool was a great way to spend a hot afternoon, though they are obviously understaffed. Restaurant kept us happily fed delicious food and service there was fantastic too. Considered going into town but ended up staying on the property all weekend because it was so enjoyable and plenty to do. The room coffee was some of the best we’ve had. Everything here feels intentional and comfortable. Felt rested and restored. We’ll be back, and highly recommend!
We've stayed here for 3 years now and keep coming back! Both the Estate Rooms and the Vista Rooms are lovely. the biggest difference is that the Estate Rooms have a separate stone tub and walk-in shower, while the Vista Rooms have just a walk-in shower. We enjoyed both. This resort is gorgeous and full of picture opportunities everywhere. So much history and architecture. Our daughter enjoys the swimming pool and feeding the alpacas (the front desk has alpaca food for guests to feed the animals). The location of the resort is only 10 to 20 minutes from so many wineries, breweries, shops, restaurants and activities yet feels very private with beautiful scenery in every direction. It is laid back and quiet, yet still fun for kids. The pool has drink/food service in the summer, which is convenient. Highly recommend staying here!
My boyfriend and I stayed at Camp Lucy to celebrate our anniversary & Fourth of July weekend. We had the absolute best time. The rooms are a dream, so clean and cozy. I told the front desk we were celebrating our anniversary and they had a bottle of wine and a sweet card in our room to help us celebrate. We had a slight issue with our bath tub and they had it fixed in less than 30 minutes. We did the wine tour with Laurel and she was excellent. I find it rare these days to find accommodations, service, food and ambiance that live up to the price but Camp Lucy absolutely did. If you’re looking to get away from the city for a relaxing weekend, this is your place. Big thank you to the staff, every single person we encountered was helpful and lovely. We look forward to our next stay!
Really nice place – the grounds are well maintained and the rooms were excellent. We didn’t do any of the organized (i.e., pay for) activities but did it on our own. I highly recommend the Red trail through the woods for hiking – or just walking around anywhere – then hang out by the pool. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. While pricey, if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend I would recommend Camp Lucy.
