Sunset Canyon Veterinary Clinic

Sunset Canyon Veterinary has cared for my cats and my dog, Ruby, over the past 20 years. They have also taken great care of my mother's horse and my brother's dogs. The vets are great - professional and knowledgeable - the prices are great, and I don't ever feel like I am being "sold" on extra tests or procedures (I have experienced this at other vet clinics). When my animals have been sick, all treatment options have been explained to me and I feel empowered to choose.
Everyone - from the desk staff to Vet Techs and the veterinarians - is friendly, helpful, and thorough, and works together to provide great care.
I recently referred a neighbor to Sunset Canyon for a semi-emergency situation with her dog, Red, and they received great care. Thank you all for keeping my best furry friends (as well as those of my family) healthy and safe!

I am truly impressed with Sunset Canyon and will not go to another vet. I drive from Austin. Moose is a diabetic dog. He had two diabetic seizures with the sitter early Sunday morning and a third on Sunday afternoon when I got back home. Rushed him to the ER vet, AVES. I am a business owner, so I take reviews pretty seriously. However, after observing AVES, it truly appears they financially take advantage of people in some of their deepest vulnerability. Moose HAD to go into the ER on Sunday because he was crashing and would have gone in a diabetic coma. He was hypoglycemic.

He was hospitalized with AVES on Sunday, $1,100 and they called Monday and wanted another $945 to hospitalize him on Monday. I said, "that is not a option, so you need to tell me what the other options are." Magically the price dropped by $500. I called Sunset Canyon, told them what was going on with Moose. They said, "bring him here."

Sunset Canyon kept Moose for the day, they knew I had a really hard two days and even said, "we are only going to charge for half a day hospitalization for Moose." $90. This clinic truly cares about their pets and I was very impressed. Moose sees Dr. Taylor.

Dr. Deitz and the Sunset Canyon staff did a great job of taking care of our newest family member. The appointment was easy to get scheduled. The cost of the visit was reasonable and well worth it. We are very pleased with this office and appreciative of the care given to our sweet cat.

Entire team is great. Very compassionate and empathetic to our sweet dog and my family in that toughest of times we all go through with our furry best friends. Specifically to Dr. Alice Dietz and Neville, who were reassuring to us, and so gentle to Harley the dog. Thank you Sunset Valley Team.

Sunset Canyon Vet Clinic is one of the best veterinary clinics I have been to over the past 12 years. My dogs and cats have seen Colt Dietz DVM, Alice Dietz DVM, and Josh Garcia DVM for annual exams and sick visits. They have been thorough in the examinations and also have answered any questions/concerns I have had over the years. The vets are kind and non-judgmental. They are upfront about what costs to expect, and they don't push unnecessary testing or products like some other clinics have in the past. The front desk staff have always been friendly as well. I also appreciate the fact that they are usually able to work us into the schedule if something unexpected comes up.

Recently, we had to say goodbye to our dog, Lucky, and we really appreciate the care and support we received on such a difficult day. The vet patiently explained all the steps and let us take our time saying our goodbyes in the room.
