  This is a wonderful place to visit, you can go for a few hours or the entire day. They have picnic tables so you can pack your lunch and enjoy the view. In addition the lady at the front is very friendly, helpful and insightful about the area. We learned a lot and enjoyed exploring. Prices for admission are low and they currently open T-F and every 1st and 3rd Saturday off the month.

  What a place! You can walk above the sea of grass and experience what it's like when animals have a nice habitat.

  Quick Saturday drive (45 minutes from Allen) to see eagles in person was worth it all by itself. Add in the walkways over the water to get close to turtles, ducks, pelicans (yep) hawks, egrets, etc, etc. in the main office they have classes each month on different things . Great for the whole family. If you're into walking 10,000 steps is easy here.
