Finally got out to this privately-owned cave and it was very much worth it. Our guide was a VERY enthusiastic young lady and she did a great job. These caverns are worth your time to reserve a spot to tour. They hold monthly concerts and host weddings in the caverns, too, so pretty fascinating. Great story behind the discovery of the cave itself as well. Really enjoyed it.
A nice tour of the cave with lots of stories and history. Caroline was a great guide. It's more like an underground museum than a cave adventure, so don't expect to become an active spelunker in this tour. Also, good to know your physical abilities. going down into the caves and walking around was fine, but climbing eight vertical stories of stairs to get out is a CHORE! Highly recommend for the young or fit, though.
Great tour from Natalie. She was able to answer all the group’s questions. She really knew the history. Our family (including the teens) enjoyed it. It is a small cave, which is ideal for people not really into caves but has some unique features that were great for people that explore caves often.
There are 2 marked trails to explore while you wait on your tour to start. We did the short easy yellow trail in the afternoon heat and it was all shaded and not uncomfortable despite the heat.
Katherine was great in the gift shop. So nice and kind.
If you are looking for something to do other than ride a horse, plan this into your trip!
Can’t wait to visit again when they have a concert down there. The acoustics are suppose to be phenomenal!
*There are lots of steps, but that was expected.
First time visiting and first time ever visiting a cave. It was such a wonderful experience! I forgot the guy’s name that was our tour guide but he was so nice and very informative. He mentioned he’s a senior in high school! Kudos to you for all that you shared with us!
I brought a jacket because it was communicated it would be about 66 degrees down there and I get cold easily. But it really doesn’t feel like 66. It was quite humid. I say that say you probably don’t need a jacket. Def wear walking shoes and bring a water bottle if you tend to get thirsty easily.
The duration of the tour was nice, walking and listening to the history of the cave and stopping for pictures!
Highly recommend checking this place out!
Great outing! Easy access cave with many rooms , one more beautiful than the other. We highly recommend the guided your -ask for the tour with Catherine as your guide— she is a biology college student and loves the cave and what she does. She even took a black light flashlight to show the different colors under black light - is a great idea and a different take on caves. Not one of the massive caves, but absolutely worth it!
