It's a nice place. The outdoor dining is pleasant when it is not too hot. It is relaxing to be under the shady trees. I had a vegetarian sandwich with potato salad on the side. The sandwich was tasty. I just wish an upscale bread was used. The potato salad was great. For dessert I had black cherry cobbler with ice cream that had a perfect sweetness. Wait staff are friendly. It's a cool place to eat.
Food was great, very tasty. I had the Alsatian sandwich with potato salad. Wife had the Schnitzel sandwich with tortilla soup. Both were amazing. Only sad part is we could only eat 1/2 ... needed to save room for a huge portion of blackberry cobbler. On the down side, service was pretty slow. But to their credit, there was a sign giving notice they were short-staffed. The whole experience was most definitely worth the wait. Strongly recommend!
Adorable little cafe. I had a special seasonal strawberry salad with grilled chicken and it was marvelous. The wait, I have to say, was problematic. We stopped amidst a very long drive from San Antonio to Terlingua and this was not a good choice for a "quick stop." Our visit probably took more than an hour and a half. Again, fantastic food, just not very quick. And that may be a staffing issue, since that's happening everywhere these days. Anyway, thanks for a great meal at a memorable place.
