“Donuts and kolaches are delicious here. My only issue with Shipleys (any location) is that they smash and cram the donuts into the box. It would be nice to just keep the frosting on the donut that had it to begin with. That's my only complaint though. The service and food has always been worthing of returning.”

“I went in with a "buy 3, get 3 free" from HEB. I picked 3 different kolaches I wanted to try and got a second of each...total 6. These ranged in price from $2 -$3.50. When I got the bill it did not take 1/2 off. I asked about that and the clerk said it takes the lowest 3 off.. It did not say anything on the coupon to that effect so I was upset as she had already run my cc. She said it would take 10 minutes to correct and I could take just a seat. Well, GRRR! I then just asked her to void the sale altogether and return my coupn. After a few minutes the manager asked me to come over to another register. I explained the situation and she said I could have a refund, have it adjusted or better, she said she'd rather me have the kolaches, than not. So she filled my order and offered me some free kolaches of my choice. It seemed more than fair to me so I thanked her and told her we were regulars...but only after she (Connie) filled a box of yummies for me. This is the first and only time I've had a bad experience and was ready to steam up and they totally did the first rate customer service thing to do. I would have to say that they are totally customer centric. Nobody should lose a customer over a $2 (retail) item and if you just talk to them, they will probably make it right and then some.”

The only downside is they're not local to me. ☹️ I'm in the North Texas area; however, I visit their shop whenever I'm in Magnolia visiting family. I *think* they ship their toffee, so I will take advantage of that some time. ????”

“Two friends and I had lunch yesterday. It was our first time to visit as we are new to the area. This tea room is truly a treasure. The food choices were varied, beautifully prepared and delicious. I will order the curried salad the next time I go as it is a treat. We talked to some ladies who are frequent visitors as they had the tier of tea treats. They return for every occasion. What a wonderful experience! Oh, and be sure to get a scone with its crunchy top and soft, tasty interior.”
