Casita Travel Trailers

We were the first scheduled pickup of the day (19 Sept 2022). There was a slight delay, during which we looked at a couple of campers in the showroom. Once things got organized, we got a good tour of our 2022 SD. Camper functions were clearly explained. While we were getting the tour, another Casita worker set up our Andersen hitch.

The closing process on the sale went well. Harald did a good job explaining the warranty and especially the aftermarket shenanigans that could void it.

We had a pretty good idea of how things would go from watching various videos on YouTube, including the ones on the Casita channel. We'd also highly recommend the maintenance and how-to videos on the Casita RV Life channel, Travels and Travails, and RV Adventures. These videos answered most of the questions we may have had, so we were quite confident during the process and on the way home.

During our first month we made four short trips and got a pretty good feel for the camper. We are very well pleased with it and have found nothing to complain about.

We are towing with a 2018 JLU, with a 3500 pound tow capacity. Despite the naysayers, this works well. Watch your weights and speed, don't get stupid, and use the Andersen.

Am supremely happy with this purchase. I had never actually been inside one before I showed up to pick up my unit (17' Spirit Deluxe) and I was impressed with how robustly it was constructed. From seams to cabinets to how they whole gas-electricity system works, this is a modern, high-tech product. It felt like stepping into a brand new Lexus or BMW. I was also surprised by how elegantly it was laid out inside. Not an inch wasted, and enough storage for what I needed. I've also been towing it with ease with my 2005 Sienna for the past two weeks. Also, I like how the nicely built-in Dometic fridge automatically switches to propane when you are not plugged it. The propane tanks were easy to detach, fill and fix back to the unit. The door, windows and outlets were well fitting and appear to be all made with high quality materials. I can see how this product really holds its value over years. Their service staff were also totally helpful with getting the right hitch installed, and I was out of there and on the road in one visit. And it's a pretty sight, welcome in any campground, or even overnighting in a big box store when needed. Easy to keep clean (I bought a small portable vacuum cleaner that works on floors, cushions, and the carpet insulation). Lighting is LED and there are plenty of combinations that light the place up to suit whatever I need. Pull-down black-outs for the windows work great. Privacy during the night, and dark when I needed it during the day.

We worked with Jonathan and he was very attentive to our questions and camper needs. We absolutely love the camper and are so glad that we researched until we found the one that is great for us. Emiliano helped us get hooked up and he was really great too! Bonus: love that this is a christian based company and we received a bible with the trailer. Also everyone was very nice at the facility. We are pleased!

Drove from Virginia in early February to pickup my Freedom Deluxe 17' Casita. Due to Covid restrictions I was unfortunately unable to get a comprehensive walk-through but I did have an opportunity to discuss with Jonathan the functionality of the unit in general. In particular, I got a very helpful hands-on session with Tyler attaching/detaching the anti-sway, weight distribution hitch. All in all I'm extremely happy with my choice of the Casita. I considered other travel trailers, but the workmanship and Internet reviews by owners convinced me.

I'm towing the Casita with a Toyota 4Runner and the trip home with a Casita in tow took no more time than my trip to Rice (without a Casita in tow). There were more stops for gas going home due to higher fuel consumption.

The choppy road conditions in Alabama and Mississippi caused the long set of window blinds above the dining table across from the kitchen to come loose from their brackets - - an easy fix. At some points along the way I thought my brain was going to come loose from its brackets the roads were so rough. I think we'll survive the "rough roads" ahead in our many adventures.

Harald Clemens is the man to ask for. Harald has been there for a very long time and communicated well with us during the whole process. We love our Casita. These units are small and easy to tow. We wanted something for two people and not something we are going to be in all the time watching TV. We wanted a place to sleep and get out of the rain so we can go out and adventure around the country with not a lot to drag along. It has everything a large camper has except a lot of space. Perfect for us.
