“We have been going to Double Barr at least a half dozen times a year for the past 5 years. Patsy and her team are always friendly, accommodating and provide information about what’s happening around the island. We only stay at Double Barr when visiting Port Aransas. The cottages are all a little different from each other and have everything you need for a short or long stay. The cottages are very reasonable in price and provide a little home away from home. You are just a short drive from the beach and have your own quiet space. Kitchen is stocked with dishes and cooking utensils. There a fridge, stove and space to cook. The cottages have window unit a/c and a wall heater for the winter. On season and off, Double Barr is a great time. It’s clean, dog friendly, no shared walls, and parking for 2 on property directly in front of your cottage. Patsy and her team are always around to help if you need anything. 10/10 will stay here again and again.”

“We never knew this place existed! I'm so glad we found it. Did not wait long to be seated and the server was so amazing and attentive. My son even dropped some of his canned soda and the waitress brought him a new one super fast. Everything looked so good we couldn't decide what to get but what we did get was delicious. Everyone was very satisfied with our meals. Definitely recommended if your looking for a seafood/pasta/with a tiny bit of Asian flair.”

“Wonderful place for a group. Great amenities. Tons of room. Indoor and outdoor entertainment available. Appeals to every age. Only problem was couldn't find the way to turn on the pool light at night. I don't think it was their problem, though. I was looking at night!”

“Pizza here are delicious and they have a good selection of pizzas and dessert pizzas to choose from. The salad bar is amazing with good lettuce greens not just iceberg and a variety of fresh veggies to add. They have hot pastas & soups, too. The price is reasonable. The have soft serve ice cream!!!”

“What a perfect trip! Arrived on Wednesday and the resort was kind enough to call and let us know our room was ready a little early. Amazing updated rooms, clean amenities, great sized rooms! “We stayed at this amazing hotel Feb. 20,2022 until Feb. 22,2022. This hotel is amazing because of it's management. They are the epitome of great customer service. We were made to feel so welcome from the sign in to our rooms to the cleaning staff, pool staff, breakfast staff, etc. There was always a happy greeting or a "can we do something for you to make your stay more satisfactory." The rooms are spacious and clean, the pool had many lounges and chairs and warm towels and the breakfast for the two days was more than adequate. There was always coffee and hot chocolate available. Recommend this hotel for its location to restaurants, shops and activities. Great for single people or families.”
