“I planned a last-minute trip to see family. Plans changed due to schedules changing, so the car rental was also last minute. I feel like I paid an ok price. I don’t rent cars often, but considering Covid etc, it went well. Got a nicer car than expected, although I suspect someone had smoked in it; even though it was not supposed to be. Pet peeve of mine. Can’t stand cigarette smoke around me! Overall though, check out and check in were super easy. I’d rent from National again for sure! My check-in guy in San Antonio was awesome!”

In the end I had to rent through a 3rd party to get the best price and Thrifty refused to honor their 10% discount on the lowest rate available elsewhere. So make sure you shop around and don't believe the sales pitch.”
