I chose Salon Effect because it was local, the other reviews were good and its not a "chain". I went in with high hopes but a guarded heart. I had Chrissy and she was phenomenal!!!! Told her what I wanted and showed her some pictures. She gave me advice and we talked a few minutes before she even touched my hair. We talked the whole time and I was very comfortable. I love the nostalgic feel, I love that they still have the red checkered table cloths, the same pictures on the wall from when I grew up in Rockwall, and of course the same delicious burgers.
